I'm pretty sure the spirit of this law is to go after the other party, not the spouse. Plus she will be getting a lot more than 100k from Smitty if she divorces him. Suing her would be bonus money and a nice revenge factor.

Most of the cases I have heard of involve one woman suing another woman for messing around with her husband.  I think in this case, the guy is going after Steve because he knows Steve is wealthy.  Otherwise, they would probably just divorce and be done with it.

less likely be told on. At the end of the day, 100k seems like chump change to make this go away if his wife is on board, which I think is going to continue fine based on his wife not leaving him yet either and him back on streaming.
