Yeah he allegedly didn’t take the Washington job because he wanted to work with San Howell and didn’t think they should draft Jayden Daniels.

Too bad for him he turned down Seattle just before they traded for Sam Howell.

Though this reaks of some Tar Heel homer folklore.

Egbuka is a Buc unfortunately.  I think he is going to be a stud at this level.

Ben Johnson turned down a chance to coach Jaden Daniels as well as Drake Maye also.  He saw Chicago has a pretty loaded roster to take over.  I wouldn't crown him a great HC yet either.  Plenty of great OCs struggle as HCs plus he has a tough division in the NFCN.

I like Ekbugka probably will be eventually, dont know about this year with the Bucs new Offensive Cordinator Grizzard lol (he was a year behind me in high school) needless to say I seriously question them calling him an offensive wizard lol.

I can’t name our offensive coordinator.  I am getting older and the mind is slipping but I seriously can’t

Someone named BRad Idzik. Sounds like a guy who should work in the media room, and effectively does so with Canales running the offense, I guess.

I like Canales and I'd like to keep him after Bryce.

I still want Sanders. Dude is sitting there in the 4th and 5th round and we say NOPE, WE HAVE BRYCCCEEEE YOUNGGGGG.

And then we draft a receiver when you have Tyler Warren sitting right there staring you in the face. A guy who can do most of what Tet can do, and play tight end.

I'd say Canalas is the true OC and Idzik is just a long for the ride.

I mean how can you be the OC and not call GameDay plays form the game plan??

No shame other teams do the same..

Good Lord, he is a pretty terrible judge of QB if that was true. I am skeptical.

Well, his iron was hot for a while and with the weapons he had in Detroit, it wasn't likely to fall off anytime soon.

He did the right thing, several offseasons of interviews/interest and chose the right situation.

That's where a lot of these guys fail. Thinking they can go to a poorly run franchise or a franchise in a deep hole and then be able to dig out of it.

It was reported by a commanders insider shortly before the NFC championship this year…

Ben Johnson wanted nothing to do with us, and Adam Peters wanted nothing to do with us (we couldn't even secure a interview with him for our vacant GM spot lmao). Actually football gurus want nothing to do with Tepper? I see a trend here.

Pretty sure we interviewed Peters for the GM job when Rhule was here (they were old acquaintances). As I recall though, he noped out of the second round.

Always figured he balked at the idea of being second in command.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
