In fairness to Pitts, they use him completely wrong. He is absolutely a matchup nightmare, but ATL trot him out there at as an inline TE in 21 or a slot wr in 11 personnel. They take all the mystery out of his role in the play.

A competent OC could get much more out of him. Use him more in 12 personnel, where you can motion him around to exploit those matchups.

They would never trade him to us, but I would love Pitts in this TE room.

In defense of falcons coaches, he fuging sucks.

multiple coaching staffs have come to this conclusion.

dude literally can’t play football

He can play football as his rookie season shows. Whether it's his desire or just horrible usage, nothing has translated since then. I wouldn't mind a trade for him to see if a change of scenery could improve anything, but I wouldn't offer anything substantial. Late round pick or a oline we're likely going to cut anyway.

Yep, he was a thousand yard guy his rookie season with Arthur Smith who knew how to use him. I'd give up a third for him in a heartbeat - Falcons would never do it.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
