Uh, what now?

Horn Jr listed as 3rd on the outside instead of as the backup slot, which is currently left blank?

Can't tell if that's just some weird oversight or the team taking a shot at Horn Jr and saying they feel he's playing like a 3rd stringing despite us not even having a backup slot right now.

These aren’t done by the coaches.  It’s the marketing department.  We go through this every year.  Title of the thread is misleading

Think this has good odds of being a nice defensive front draft coming up

Sounds good.

I also noticed the DE and DT might have been switched. Isn't Robinson more if a DE? But what about Cam Jackson, DT or DE. But I guess the front three is more fluid in reality than on paper and the DC don't like big DTs 🤷‍♂️. But 5 is still a small number.

I dont see anyway around the Defense not sucking hard again this season. Same DC with very little improvement in personnel really. LBs look to be god awful and nick scott is fuging terrible.

I dont have any faith in Evero to put these guys in a position to succeed.

I can almost guarantee Evero is fired midseason.

    • Correct this logic I might if it meant taking his guaranteed money now and spread it over 3 years (2026-2028) and maybe add $6m.  I am not sure you can do that, or that he would do it, but it would be a way for him to extend his career and bank accounts and we would be getting him for $6m for 2 years (if healthy), basically, since his entire salary is guaranteed now.  If not, we lose an additional $6m spread over 2 years.  So let's say his guaranteed $$ for 2026 is $18m.  Give him a $24m contract ($8m per) through 2028.  Worst case:  We get $10m in cap relief now and create $3m dead cap for 2 years (2027-8).   Best case?  We get cap relief now and a good/decent guard/tackle for 2 years (2027-2028) and the total salary per year when he is active would be $12m if you don't count any money for the season he cannot play.  That is a good value, and we'd basically be getting a 50% discount rate.  Since we have so much guaranteed now, extending him is not as crazy as it seems.   Something has to be wrong with this logic...
    • I don't disagree about Nikishin's potential availability, but Hamilton as a replacement? Not an upgrade in my book.
