Is Tepper is reading forum, he should answer that question. It sure looks like Bryce was anointed the starter from day one by none other than Tepper, and the rest of the organization were a bunch of ass kissing yes men.

David Tepper is an awful leader of a football team. No one respects him. He can do as many charity events as he wants, doesn’t change the fact he ruined the Panthers

Why waste a draft pick on a flyer when we have all the holes this roster has?

Either Bryce wins or he gets us a high draft pick.

Because nobody involved is realistically gonna sit threw atrocious play for 4 months. Its not gonna happen, a change will be made.

I really wish people would stop using this line of thinking.

If I remember correctly Jake Delhome was sitting on his couch when the Panthers gave him a call .The difference is Jake the fire in his belly to be great .  Not so much talent but a will to win . Bryce may be smart but has no will to win and no one to kick his butt to be better .

Red flag went up for me when Canales publically passed on Russell Wilson. What better way to push Bryce than the SB veteran who put this coach on the map, has a comparative style of play, and believes he's still got it. He probably would have rejected having to fight for a starting role but the fact that Canales didn't even consider his guy tells me there was an order from up top to clear the runway for Young.

You think it would be better to swap Bryce’s bad play for a 5th round rookie’s bad play?

Really?!

This isn't true. He was the backup in New Orleans the year before, and Carolina was kind of in a bidding war with Dallas for him, which is why he got to camp late.

I don’t understand why we are in year 3 of Bryce and this team has done nothing to push him or have any sort of competition. Absolutely no backup plan just all in on a QB who had one of the worst rookie seasons I’ve ever seen.

Not taking a flyer on a mid to late round QB after his rookie season is baffling to me. Bringing back Andy Dalton after showing he is completely washed instead of an actual competent back up is crazy. Also how the fug did Jack Plummer stick around for so long. Dan Morgan talks about bringing in DAWGS so why does this not apply to the most important position on the team?

This would all make sense if Bryce came out his rookie year looking like Stroud or Daniels but not after your statistically one of the worst QBs in the league.

At no point would it make any sense to bring in competition. This roster STINKS out loud, we are about 90% sure Bryce ain't it now. That's fine. Mid Round flier on a QB is a wasted pick on a roster full of holes. Jack Plummer stuck around cause QB3's stick around sometimes. They stink man. Nothing would have changed much other than a game here or a game there.

I mean did you see Russell Wilson play Sunday? He was leagues worse than Bryce Young. Honestly some of you are just so stuck in the mud that you think the Panthers are the only team with subpar QB play. Caleb Williams would have had the exact same performance against Jacksonville if he was our QB. Bringing in some jackoff like Aiden OConnell or Sam Howell isn't scoring any more points.

Russell Wilson is an old washed QB on this 5th team in 6 years. Being better than one random rotating QB each week is basically the life of Bryce Young.

Caleb Williams plays the game wildly different than Bryce with wildly different tools.   Bryce Young had frankly several relatively easy homerun plays he botched downfield.   Panthers WRs winning vertically and BY should can't get it done.   Also, there were plays to be made on the ground.

Make no mistake Caleb sucks.  But Caleb is in a vastly different tier of QB in terms of tools and throws.  Caleb can make throws and runs that just don't exist for Bryce on a good day.

There was just absurd stuff in reality on the table in terms of plays that could of been made.   Bryce just isn't good.  It's the primary problem in a sea of problems.

Not saying I’d rather have Russ than Bryce bro I don’t even believe he would have a won out in camp. Point is if Canales didn’t even consider him I doubt Young competing was ever on the table

Because Bryce Young is a God-tier tank commander

Lets just hope this time, the team doesn't bench him and instead lets him complete his destiny.  He already did it for the Bears, why not us?

6-23 career record
