Give Canales his QB

Recommended Posts

He took the job knowing the QB situation and he took it because we were the only team even considering him for a HC. When we move on from Bryce at the end of this season we probably make a change at HC too. His only hope is to bench Bryce and have the offense show promise with Dalton. I bet he's really regretting not pushing hard for an upgrade at backup QB this off-season. Probably time to go beg Morgan and Tepper to let him trade for Jameis or Howell.

Nah this is exactly what I don't want.

I'm totally fine if we move on from bryce but I'd much rather get a new HC to pair with a new QB than get a new QB and fire canales one year later only to have a new HC who doesn't have his QB...

Canales deserves a fair chance with a real QB that he picks. Instead of being stuck with Tepper's Mexican step child. No coach could do anything with Bryce Young at the helm

I’m hoping we draft another Mexican named Fernando.

Nah. Anyone associated with the Fitterer tree needs to go and Tepper needs to hire an actual NFL expert (former exec, consultant, whatever) to completely rebuild the FO and select a coach while he has 0% say in it.

Is that realistic? I dunno, but the man has proven for a decade now that he does not have the slightest clue about NFL football.

I'd have agreed with it 2 weeks ago, but the play calling has only gotten worse the last 2 weeks, I'm now officially over DC too.

Our best hope for this franchise right now is we lose out, get the #1 pick, fire Morgan and DC, have Tepper open up his deep pockets and offer Howie Roseman (or someone like that) more money than they could reasonably turn down to come here for the GM job and let them go to work with a long leash to rebuild the roster from the ground up.

    • Every other phase and the other players sucked so bad today that Bryce won’t be in the spotlight as much. There’s also no point in playing Dalton. Just ride it out, bottom out and pick another qb next year.
    • How you doing?   You committed seppuku yet?
    • This team needs a bridge coach to return some sort of GAF. A winner would be a bonus, but this team is so damn far down in the well that they don’t even know what dignity looks like. Y’all just need to face it, NOBODY, no coach, coordinator or position coach who is worth anything wants ANYTHING to do with this ish. The blow it all up and burn it to the ground for some hero to come in and save us from our owner is a complete fallacy. It’s not going to happen. Tepp will have to roll up a Brinks truck and drop some more propaganda.  The rebuild approach that works for other teams in the NFL will not work here. We have the worst owner in the NFL, and it’s not even close. Who TF wants to come to CHARLOTTE (!) and be the head coach under Tepper.  The only thing that will spark any momentum will be the typical Panthers lucky win streak to finish the season, fire the head coach and hire someone who is not afraid to tell grown ass men that they’re losers (but Tepp doesn’t get along with those types). Rinse wash and repeat. Hopefully we also luck in a franchise QB in the process, a la Delhomme and Newton.
