Less be honest, we knew it's was coming. Bryce backers can't help themselves. A RB single hand putting up 400 yds in total production the last 2 weeks is somehow still gonna be second fiddle to bryce in their eyes.

Almost 500 yards, which is just ridiculous.

389 rushing yards on 53 carries

84 receiving yards on 7 catches

what we have witnesses the last 2 weeks isn't a QB getting some help (that's more of the downplaying).  It's a RB taking over a game, and completely dominating.   It's cartoon/video game behavior by a RB that you rarely see at this point in the NFL in back to back weeks.  Our franchise has never seen such play in a 2 week span in it's existence (and we had CMC, Double Trouble, etc).

Ok. And? Ever consider that might make up for the facts of:

Our #1 WR is a rookie (who’s still making rookie mistakes by the way).

Don’t know who #2 is. If it’s Hunter, he’s serviceable but wasn’t playing football last year (and I’m a Clemson guy).

XL is XL.

Coker wasn’t drafted and hasn’t played yet this season.

JHJ is another late round rookie. TE is revolving door of potential. Canales calls the plays and this is only his 3rd year doing it, we don’t have a real OC…..

So yea sometimes Rico gotta go for 200 to give BY a chance.

Is your argument that Bryce Young isn't good enough to take over a game, and so needs insane performances from superior players in order to shine?

Maybe we aren’t Bryce backers. We’re Panther fans who’s happy to see their young QB getting some help.

When Bryce plays well he has help when Bryce plays poorly and turns the ball over everyone around him is a bum. Constantly diminishing 52 other guys to prop up 1 guy only holds up when that guy can take over games. Rookie of the year? MVP? That will get you that kind of clout. Bryce isn't even in the same universe as that.

Jesus....Thats MVP stuff. My biggest concern is that we are gonna run him into the ground before the season is over with just rack a couple wins.

That workload won’t be realistic most weeks. Better defenses will force us out of the Rico show if we want to try to stay in games

Can we go back to square one for a minute and remember what we paid for this guy and how he was sold?
He was like, the anti excuse. Makes everybody better, Did we get that?
I think the answer is still coming but so far you might can say that for a game or two.

Cam had issues with personnel every season almost. Horrible OL, but he had receivers. Decent to good OL no receivers. Etc.

Bryce needs to stand up, or keep standing up, however you want to put it. It is big boy time in year 3. He doesn’t have to make the playoffs but there is a standard. We’ll see what happens.

But the excuses are just fuging tired.
ps, I mean let’s not crown him when he has franchise record production in two wins,.. let’s see when they stop that, how he does then.

Might aswell put an asterisk beside last year's Superbowl winners if a running back cant be the best player on the field

Have you consulted with PFF to ensure who was really the best player on the field?

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
