Where do you fall on the Bryce Young spectrum?

  1. 1. It's been so spirited for so long, let's draw some lines in the sand. Where do you fall on the Bryce spectrum?

    • Full-on fan - He is our Franchise QB, present & future
    • The door is still open for him being the answer
    • The door is closed barring a major run
    • Nope, he's not the answer - Doesn't matter what he does

Still uncertain...

Can he play in the NFL? Yes, he can.

Can he win games? Yes, he can.

Do you have to build the right team around him? Of course you do, same as you do any other quarterback.

(the idea that's somehow a weakness is silly)

At the very least this qualifies him to be a quality backup.

But is he a long term franchise quarterback? 🤔

I'm not fully confident enough to say that yet, but he's at least trending upward.

And I'll take that for now...

Pretty much spot on how I feel

I think if it's still unanswered by the 5th season, then it's already answered lol.

From the fans perspective, yes. I suspect that answer will come sooner than that.

The Tepper Panthers are slow to learn from these mistakes, it seems. And it will almost certainly cost more than one person in the organization their job, I suspect.

I think by the end of this season we really need to have a good idea. I suppose the picking up of the 5th year option seems relatively inevitable unless he falls off a cliff in terms of performance.

I suspect this decision on his future will still be unanswered during his 5th year.

No argument

I have seen little inclination that they are laying down on him, that I can agree with. I don't think we are going to ever see much in the way of unfiltered opinions in the public realm from his teammates because that's extremely rare and extremely toxic behavior.

It's certainly a positive thing that they support him but, again, that doesn't make a successful NFL starting QB. Playing well on Sunday's does.

That is what has been lacking to date. He is not playing well consistently enough to be considered an NFL starting QB. He has to improve there. Be more consistent. Be more decisive. Make correct decisions more frequently.

I don't think many folks on here would disagree that he needs to improve and that he is a work in progress. But many of us are seeing the progress and giving him the benefit of the doubt supporting his continued improvement. After the crap show we have endured the last number of years  I would think more people would be on board the Young train.

I think it is because of the crap we have endured that players don't get the benefit of the doubt. Too frequently that has failed us in the past decade.

I haven't seen much in the way of progress yet. He is starting to regain some of the form he had in the last few games of 2024 after being quite bad early in 2025. It's not all his fault, to be sure. But it's too often his fault is the ultimate problem.

Hopefully he just eventually gets to be even remotely consistent over the course of 2025. As a former Bryce stan, I just don't have much faith left, unfortunately.

We have been on that roller coaster ride already. He needs to have streaks far longer than a couple of good games.
People raved about the Green Bay game in 2023. Which was mostly a good 2nd half and hot 4th quarter.
Ask me what happened the next four games, if you don’t remember. or just go look them up. There isn’t much to see.

The end of last year had some good things and one excellent outing, and look up what followed that, which you won’t have to but he came out this year looking like week 1 2023.

Now he is on a game and a half streak, against a bad Miami team and lowest rated defense in the league - at home.
This is the reality in the big picture. He needs to break his pattern, in a positive way.

I think in year 1 and the first half of year 2, Bryce was playing terrified. To end year 2 he conquered the mental game, and now for the past few weeks we see him for what he is. A game manager with decent escapability who can occasionally make some good throws, but lacks too many tools to ever be a franchise QB.

I'm not in a rush to get rid of him, but if a better option comes along or his contract ends, we should move on.

I accept the fact that he can be a servicable starting QB. Definitely not a franchise QB. Built the team with a good Oline, running game and wideouts around him, and he can win some games. Add a defense and the team can be successful, at least playoff capable.

We are not bad enough to get a top five pick for another QB, which is a risk any ways. They are going to have to move ahead with what they have. Is that enough success to go foward?
