Bruh we just won against the Packers on the road while Bryce Young had the lowest YPA of any qualified passers in the entire league.

Celebrate the defense celebrate Rico Dowdle celebrate Ryan Fitzgerald.

Everyone with eyes knows that we won because of Rico...but can we at least just bask in a victory against the Packers in Lambeau without bitching about the QB who won the game?

Outside of that horrible redzone pick Bryce played alright today. He wasn’t really asked to do anything. He kept that drives alive on short yardage, and we played keep away from the packers.

With all the line injuries and the wind Canales called a really conservative game

He had a decent throw for a first down to Coker on the final drive which I give him credit for but the rest of the game from him was completely forgettable. It is what it is. I'm thrilled we defeated the Packers. This locker room needed it after last week. My mindset going forward is we need to do all we can to maximize this core going forward and shoring up the QB room is and should be a major need.

We can't really ask him to do anything if we want to compete. Once he short armed that comeback to T-Mac that nearly got picked Canales was like fug this, were just running it and taking our chances with a long FG in the wind.

The biggest hope I'm seeing right now for the future is that this staff clearly doesn't trust Bryce. That gives me hope we'll move on.

48.3 Passer Rating. Don’t act like he was amazing. Dude is a game manager and did the minimum what was asked of him.
Pretty obvious the team realizes that too. They are game planning around him like we did Darnold. By that I mean keep the ball out of Bryce’s hands as much as possible and run the ball.

To be fair we only threw the ball 20 times, we have cycled through the most players AND player combinations on the Oline out of any other team this season. This was also one of the better pass rushing units in the NFL and in a hostile environment. Can't expect him to have gaudy numbers especially when the run game is working as well as it was with Rico. They really couldn't stop it

We're a potential playoff team next year with a decent journeyman vet at QB. Sign me one and then add another one in the draft. See if we can dupe some other team into trading anything for mister "game winning drive".

    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
    • My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
    • Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
