This just fuging infuriates me.  This is why Dave sucks and we will lose Rico in the offseason. What a terrible coach.  The players see it. The fans see it. The media sees it. The announcers see it.  Only one they doesn’t is Canalas. fuging idiot.

Watching that video what stood out to me was when he said something along the lines of "Everytime this happens coach takes responsibility" Sooooo my question now becomes, where tf is his common sense? .. DC holds hisself accountable for a week or two then reverts back.

The more I think about it the more it gets under my skin. THIS is the same guy who in his introductory interview claimed he was so anxious to show the world just how stubborn he was with running the football?!?!?

Nah bro Im pretty sure we've always had a "lack of run game" since he's been here. We have a rb with damn near half of 1k yards in 2 weeks and ultimately said fug it, let's see if Bryce can air it out lol..

I think DC is lucky that he followed our 2 worst coaches in franchise history with Rhule and Reich. If he had followed Rivera or Fox (or any competent coach), I think we would all be way more pissed with his coaching. We aren't winning because of him (for the most part) - it's been other teams screwing up in embarrassing fashion (like we did Monday), our defense winning us the game, or Rico just running the ball down the other team's throat. DC has constantly F'd up obvious personnel decisions the entire year and we have needed injuries to happen to get better players on the field...

The play just looked off the entire time. Sanders literally makes a b-line to try and block one of the 49ers guys and then last second switches it to a go route to the back corner of the end zone. Now that I have watched it a few more times, I'm starting to think it was designed for Chuba to pass it. Otherwise, I have no idea why Sanders would do that.

Regardless, calling a stupid ass play like that on 3rd and goal is exactly why we struggle to score...

Yep, not the smartest play call. It's evidence that Canales is trying to be cute, or that he simply doesn't believe in the RB or line to get the job done.

Much like BY, I was never in favor of Dave either. I'll just say, he's learning on the job and I thought this was a 2 win team before the season. Yes he's had issues, but he's also had good-great moments too.

Dan Morgan repeats the insane 2025 rookie haul, Im more than willing to give Dave another year. I dare say his seat is not the least bit warm, unless shanny or Mcvay get fired by some strange turn of events.

Luke gave him props too, he's awful young and even though I do not care for his super happy personally, he's doing a OK with all the tepper&fan pressure.

I think Canales knows what identity he wants for the team (I think), it's just that he is hamstrung by Bryce. He won't make the tough decision to ditch Bryce, likely due to higher-ups. Bryce has been on thin ice in my damned mind for two years. Every season, the question of axing him by the trade deadline looms large (again, in my mind). There is absolutely no way we should've come into this season without a plan B (and I'm not talking the Red Rifle). Canales should've been banging the table for a plan B. I mean, it's just his job on the line.

Young is a Tepper mistake and no one will convince me otherwise.

No NFL coach comes in, sees what Bryce has done, a short QB hopping around under throwing the ball and says yep, I can make a future with this QB and statistically he will be the first in history to do it with his limitations.

Some people seem to believe this. Tepper is strapping the team to Bryce.

We are light years better than we were last season, with a bad injury situation piling up. Morgan has done well with improving our roster, Canales has instilled a winning culture with much below average quarterback play.

I think organizations often don't give players time to develop, and same with coaches. I scratch my head on some of his decisions as well, but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Same with Evero. Every few games people are calling for his job, but the defense has shown a ton of improvement for sure.

I still think it's really tough to be a head coach and play caller, and doubly hard for a new coach.

The "trick play" at the one mirrors our continued belief that we can outsmart people.  It's why we draft injured RB and someone like DJ Johnson while every other team scratches their heads.  Not to mention the "steal" of a Long Snapper while skipping a pro bowl type guard.

Hedge fund managers get rich by taking risks, zigging when people think they should zag.  Football players and coaches see the ball on the 1 yard line with a RB averaging 6 yards a carry and know what to do.

But we'd rather be brighter than everyone else.  We might win a chess title but the football people will just keep punching us in the mouth.

There are a few of us who can see the obvious truth.

It's a combo really.  Canales and Bryce are both just not doing great.   Canales choices on the run game this season has lost us games.  Bryce still does a lot of bonehead stuff like not running it in for the TD.  But Canales not running the ball didn't really help open things up either.  Also the team just looks unprepared weekly.  That's on coaching.  I agree that he needs to be a HC or an OC and not both.  We need a real play caller in here.   I do agree, I'd like to see Canales with a QB that he feels fits his system more but even without that not running the ball is just crazy.
