Predict The Remaining Schedule

Recommended Posts

We are sitting at 7-6, half a game back in the division. Bye week on deck. What is our final record and do we make the playoffs? Do we win the division or make a wildcard spot?

Have to beat the Saints. Assuming they won’t sweep us this season. I think we get Tampa at home, but lose to them on the road. Toss up game is Seattle.

Tampa has us twice, Saints at home, Atlanta at home, and at Miami.

I say we get to 10-7.  Not sure what the tiebreaker would be with the Bucs but I think that would be good enough to get, at the least, a wildcard spot.

I'd be curious to see what happens against Seattle week 17 if we are tied with Tampa (win at NO and at home against the Bucs). Since we likely don't get a wildcard because Chicago/GB and SF/LAR/Seattle will all likely have a better record (not to mention possibly Dallas and DET), that game could be meaningless because week 18 at Tampa will decide the division whether we win or lose vs. Seattle.

I doubt we rest our starters, but that could be a game we could theoretically rest up key players for the last game of the season.

Regardless, if we don't win at NO and sweep Tampa, we aren't making the playoffs. 10-7 won't get it done with how stacked the NFC is.

@Saints - L

Bucs - W

Seahawks - W

Bucs - L

Which, if it goes that way.....I don't think anyone should be upset. I had predicted all season long a 4-7 win season and anything close to or above .500 is absolutely ahead of schedule.

I still don't know what to think of us but a 8-9 win season would be a Tepper first and 9+ would literally only be the 2nd winning season in the past 10 years in Carolina.

Who knows?  We have both the Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold revenge games looming.  The Saints stink, but are eliminated from the playoffs and playing at home.  The Saints want to spoil our playoff chances and the other teams are trying to make the playoffs.  I know that no team its going to take us lightly anymore, so the Vegas line isn't in play.

San Francisco is currently the last wild card with a 9-4 record and they own the tie breaker over us meaning we need a better record in the end. We probably don't make the playoffs without winning the division.

10 wins doesn't get a wildcard spot this year. I think our only path to the playoffs realistically is the division. I really don't buy into the Bucs at all but division games are incredibly weird regardless of how good the teams are on paper. I think we beat Aints, split Bucs and lose to Seahawks and miss the playoffs a game behind Tampa. Hopefully I'm wrong and we sweep them and take the division.

playoffs def seem like a tall order at this point.

Everything hinges on Bakers shoulder.  They basdically have a cake walk to the playoffs.  Baker stays healthy I see them going 4-1 and finishing 11-6.  Carolina would need to basically win out to win the division.

We beat the Saints, Split with the Bucs, Lose to Seattle.

Finishing 9-8

It's impossible to predict given there really isn't a repeatable game plan found amongst the wins.

all time franchise great rushing performances, Panther franchise passing record, , barely breaking 100 yard passing games, minimum of 3 turnovers by opponents, etc.  Just really weird stuff on the season.

Panthers have to beat Tampa twice and win one of the two other remaining games. Unless Tampa drops a random game there's no other way to make the playoffs, and Tampa's schedule is cupcake.
