i dont think so,. i think what he is doing is giving bryce what he feels comfortable throwing. this is the result. sometimes you can luck up and get away with it. other times teams beat it. i dont know any magical plays that would make BY play better where he wouldnt have to do the same stuff on each play, climb the pocket, go through progresssions ets.

The problem is that's what we "think". We won't ever know unless he takes a chance.

What I do know is this vanilla playcalling won't win a game for us against a good team, even if our defense balls out

After the game Canales said Seattle played more than they showed previously and he has to “adjust”

How do you not expect them to come out playing more man despite what they’ve shown on film when look at our WR’s and their CB’s. Just braindead sh!t

To late to "adjust" now Dave

To be clear, I'm not saying Bryce is an all-pro or anything, I'm saying his support team is poo.

I get what you mean in a sense but Joe Burrow is a fantastic example of someone who does not have any support. He has 1 star WR and one good #2 WR and that’s it…..but he still shows he’s a franchise guy. We have invested very very very heavy in protecting Bryce and trying to give him weapons and he has shown the ability to be a game manager/Dink and dunk specialist.  By the end of year 3 you should be able to tell if you have a franchise QB or not.

We keep saying this, but we literally haven't given Bryce the chance to prove that once under DC...

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Bryce. But DC is borderline intentionally sabotaging Bryce with his poo playcalling

Bryce attempted like one pass more than 4 yards passed the line of scrimmage and it was picked. He isn't sabotaging poo. Bryce cannot run the offense

Today presented us with the following scenario:

  • We win, we can win the division (Miami just clinched victory)
  • We lose, it means NOTHING.  Just retry next week.

This was an all-in type scenario.  Give them the best you've got.  We're at home.  Be aggressive against a shaky Darnold under pressure.  Push the ball downfield.  Get vertical.  Get creative.  Show us everything you've got.  This is for the playoffs.

AND THIS IS WHAT WE GOT.  THIS IS WHAT THEY CHOSE TO DO.

Dink and dunk spectacular with Bryce getting us nowhere.  One of his worst performances and absolutely dogsh*t pathetic coaching.

Canales has finally been put in my doghouse along with Bryce, Chuba and Horn.

This was embarrassing all-around.  Terrible football.

Defense played well, OL did good enough.  Awful gameplan, terrible QB-limiting play, terrible mistakes from undisciplined players.

Awful.  Eye-gouging painful.

we were going against a 1 seed who wants to keep their one seed...

This team hurt themselves every time we had the opportunity to flex.

Jaycee’s dropped INT on the first drive.

Bryce missing an open McMillan on 4th that probably goes potentially for 6.

Chuba’s fumble after the INT.

Horn’s penalty on 3rd & long.

I’m sure I am forgetting a few too, but this team beat itself today in a sloppy home game with everything on the line.

Today, besides playing in the cold rain, the Panthers were playing against probably the #1 seed in the NFC. The Seahawks are a really good team. I don't think it's as much Bryce as it's Canales trying to find a rhythm. Ex; a good DJ and a great DJ are separated from reading the room and adapting to it and playing to right sequence of songs (we all play mostly the same songs). In football, it's adapting "quicker" to what the defense is doing and getting into a good sequence of play calling that keeps them off balance and guessing. I don't think we've seen that.

We can blame the players but scheme them open or play more to their strengthens. Then factor in what I just said and the lack of ability and natural talent, it hinders Bryce at times. Sometimes a dance floor will be packed no matter the DJ (as long as he doesn't really screw it up). Bryce can have some good games because of what the defense is playing or lack of talent. Today we saw the right defense calls with a talented team and our OC/HC struggling to adapt and find a rhythm.
