I'd really like him to turn into a productive NFL player after watching that - seems like he would be a great guy to have around for years.

All he needs to do is repeat last year’s performance and someone is going to give him $10M+ per year unless the WR market corrects after this past off-season’s sheer insanity.

Dam...  I spent only $40k on daycare alone last year.

Jesus Christ! That’s why my wife stays home and takes care of our son. She would just be going to work to pay off the day care, it’s pointless. I’m extremely lucky to be able to provide for my family on one income.

I love LeBetard, but this a dumb interview on a dumb show. Is this typical of highly questionable? ESPN is garbage.

That's ESPN as a whole nowadays

They want to be hot and hip instead of just talking about sports.

Day care here is $700-800 per month for ONE child, so rough avg at $750 per month is $9,000 a year. There are supplemental programs etc that lower income families can apply for to assist I would assume in most states, but that rate in some places in the rent on a one bedroom apt, or even a small mortgage.

40k?  Where are you putting them.  In a 5 star hotel room?

My sister's daycare bill for my nephew (before he started school) was about $3,200 a year.  And he was at one of the better one's.

I got 3 kids at $1,250 a month per kid.  My kids go to one of the better daycares in Charlotte.  Few Panther players have their kids here.

It was a typical HQ interview. Lebetard almost always asks about the person being interviewed upbringing, hard times, etc

DF 17  said he mainly plays for his grandfather. Maybe it’s just me but the way he said it came off like he doesn’t have a true passion for the game. Maybe I’m wrong

If you love LeBetard, how do you not know that's how he interviews all athletes who have a difficult upbringing? He always wants them to recount the specifics of their difficult times and how it helped shape them. He wants the interesting out of interviews and not the typical stuff you get from most interviews. It was 8 minutes so I'm guessing they didn't use the whole interview on the show. But who knows?

Slightly got that vibe too, just the way he talked about it.  But as long as he’s with Cam I think he’s in good hands.

It did make me scared to think of his potential contract if Hurney’s still here, but he’s been frugal so far.  We’ll see.  He wants all that money

To be honest, not many do at that level.

There are a few where it really shines through, but most play for the money....just like us at our jobs.  We likely don't do it because we love it.

    • Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.
    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
    • Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
