So the nickel spot is one to definitely keep an eye on this year. The Panthers will still likely use the nickel often in the 3-4 base scheme. My money is on Corn Elder to step up. Corn gets a lot of undue hate from fans after not performing so well on the outside (where he should have never been to begin with. )

to add,

he was a rookie with a numb skull calling players and no pressure being applied to the QB

No. I will not.

As bad as Cap is, I'm not sure he earns all the blame on that play. I have no clue what defense we are running there, but looks like the Cap and Corn for whatever reason switched guys. Either both guys are too blame or the scheme for that play is too blame.

Note: Just looked like an awful playcall on defense. From the looks of it (In my opinion), I'm guessing we are running cover 3 and Corn follows his guy to the middle and Cap gets screwed over because his responsibility is the flats and the deep zone on the near side is left open because Corn messed up.

Regardless, neither Cap or Corn should be on this roster next season. Both can be replaced by random bums off the street.

Watching All or nothing Captain showed me he was a leader in that locker room and I think any team would miss that aspect. He is a smart vet but it was time to move on and see what we have in the younger players.

Is Ross Cockrell a possibility?

You want your 3 best CBs on the field.  And if he returns to nearly what he was prior to the leg break.  Bradberry, Jackson, and Cockrell on the field together in the nickel seems like itd be the best option

Cockrell is definitely a possibility. I also seem to remember hype last preseason about Seymour moving inside. Neither are anything flashy, but can be solid, contributing players.
