Tragic: Bucs set to move on from Jameis Winston after season

It appears that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had enough. After seeing four years and six games of the same inconsistency out of quarterback Jameis Winston, reports are surfacing that the pewter and red are set to move on from their former first overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

According to Bleacher Report and NFL insider Mike Freeman, both the Bucs and the Tennessee Titans are primed to “reset their sights” at the quarterback position after the 2019 season. Winston and Marcus Mariota, the first and second overall picks from 2015, have both struggled to find any sort of rhythm, both being benched at points in their careers.

Winston, on his third coach in five years, was expected to take a leap in his contract year with the Bucs as quarterback whisperer Bruce Arians took over the reigns in Tampa. Through the first four games, it looked as though Winston had taken strides, but after back-to-back rough outings for the former Florida State Heisman winner, it appears the Bucs have had enough.

This could be seen coming, as the Bucs were spotted at Oregon’s last game, presumably scouting Justin Herbert. It has also been rumored that Arians has taken a liking to LSU quarterback Joe Burrow as well.

I honestly have a weird feeling that he will be good once he gets away from Tampa. The Bucs never put a good oline around him and he doesn't have the build of Cam to help negate a poo oline.

Winston is just too wildly inconsistent - he is capable of making most throws in the NFL, but always seems to have those ~5 passes each game that has you saying "what the hell were you thinking"
