WOW!!

Time to go on record with your intial opinions on this draft class.. Drafts usually take 3 years to assess but we can still like or not like a pick early... So let's go..

1st. ..pick LOVE BROWN...My guy day 1.

2nd .. pick.. Okay with it wanted a CB but can understand building the Dline up again.. Like Motas so nothing to complain about here..

2nd pick part 2.  . Love the pick the player and the trade was solid.. Chinn is a beast with super athletic ability.. Can't wait to see him being used like a bigger version of Honey badger..

4th ... Love the pick .  Pride was one of my guys as well..

5th ... Don't know alot about Robinson and I didn't really think we needed another safety.. So I'm ...meh... on this pick..

6th ... I knew Rhule would get one of his guys .. I wanted the other 2 Baylor boys.. Roy is another whatever pick for me..

7th .  Dont know poo about Stanley.. Would have double dipped CB earlier not Safety .. Could have gotten a developmental Olinemen.. Another whatever pick..

So in retrospect loved or liked 4 out of the 7 players .. 4 look like day 1 contributors so I really like the draft and won't poo on Hurney later if the player don't workout...

Solid AF tbh!

Defense was HORRIBLE last year even with Luke.

This is what Rhule talked about. Getting great coaches and building through the draft. Well, we’re likely going to have on of the youngest defenses in the League I’d venture to say.

Now we get to see if these coaches can coach them up. Plenty of competition in camp if there’s even a camp or a season for that matter.

I give this draft an A+ based off need and how even the most casual of fans knew that we needed to restructure/rebuild the entire defense.

i have nothing but praise at this point, but we have to see how these guys all work out.

Definitely going to watch this season now, and prior to the draft, I was resigned to not buying the NFL Sunday Ticket. This draft has changed my mind.

Robinson was one of my favorite picks. I was a big XFL guy, and he shined in St. Louis. Very happy we picked him.

It's hard to "shine" around a ton of Veteran players in a league, when you're the youngest. He did so. I'm hoping he becomes a starter quick.

Panthers Depth Chart was so trash on defense heading into the Draft, it was to the point, if they didn't Draft all Defense it would've been a surprise.

This is a 2-3 year process. I'm hopeful for a TL Drafting next year, and skies the limit after that.

No complaints! This draft fit hand-in-glove with the pre-draft moves in free agency! Free agency was more about Band-Aids with a little upside that may stick depending upon what happens, but the draft was all about building the team for the long term.

I can't wait to see what transpires with the remainder of free agency and how all the puzzle pieces will fit for the bigger picture of 2020 (and that includes the UDFAs)!

I'm with you.  It's a really good start to building the defense.  Next year will go a long way to establishing the foundation of the team.  These new guys will have a year of nfl experience under their belt which the desperately need.  Dare I say my optimism meter just moved a bit.

I'm really high on Robinson. He and Kyle Dugger were my favorite safety prospects in this draft.

    • That was always the fear, expectation, concern, etc, I had.  Someone showed a still shot from his pick last game and said it showed that the defender closed 3 yards on that ball in the last portion of its flight. I forget the number. 10 yards I think it said but that sounds extreme.  When guys are open by a step, any slowing down to wait for the ball lets the defender back into the play. That sort of stuff makes the margins so small… these NFL CBs are not slow.   It is a league that highly values foot speed; the 40 times and drill times are scrutinized down to the hundredth of a second when evaluating these players on both sides of the passing game. Receivers and defenders both.   My thing with his arm strength (or anyone’s) was always “why do you want to do that? Plus pay extra picks to put yourself in that situation?”. Asking for trouble.     I wish there was a way to measure velocity on the back half of a throw compared to when it left the hand. Or really get accurate reading of the flight time of a ball from the near hash to the sideline, 10 yards down the field. Because teams could use that info. I have always seen this as being a disadvantage with Bryce but it is beyond my ability to quantify it.   I think it would show what that arm strength is really about, a lot more than just measuring how much air can you put under it so it will fly as far as possible.
    • Who didn't see that coming....
    • Its a detriment if he can't play...as we are seeing.
