Which retired Panther could help this years team the most

Gamble and Luke are 1A & 1B that come to mind and instantly change our win totals, IMO.

Luke's command of a defense reminds me of Peyton calling plays at the line on the offensive side.

Gamble was the best CB we have ever had. Steady, reliable and a true CB1 that would be an anchor on the outside for us now.

Give me David Gettis and Brian St. Pierre.

Hell, even though he never played for us, toss Hakeem Nicks in there for good measure and start the Mt Rushmore of Panther what if's.

I’m not sure why but I was so invested in Nicks back in 2014, was actually disappointed we didn’t sign him. He obviously didn’t do anything at all from that point on... I think he went to the Colts if I’m not mistaken? Put up like 800 yards with Luck one year then fell off a cliff.

Smitty 100%.

The organization hasn't had the requisite "edge" since he left.

I bet the guy could come back in right now and absolutely ball out...

...bring it on Smitty!

Not a "need" position at the moment but you can't measure someone with the fight and grit that Smith had.

IMO, still an all-time best WR. Who packed the pound-for-pound punch that Smitty did?

    • Best birthday present ever!
    • People were discussing the new backup QB in comparison the the starter.  Neither has anything close to a cannon.  Video was posted of them throwing.  If people can’t be free to express their opinions without being put on a list of posters who have ruined this place we have a bad situation here. People trying to silence  criticism of the QB.    Maybe actually post about the other players instead of about the other posters. That is where it went off the rails.
    • That's true and we're definitely going to hear more about it as summer progresses. But at the end of the day all of the progress we've made on the roster as a whole will only matter if our passing offense can emerge from the basement of the NFL. In 2023 it was 32 out of 32 in 2024 it was 30th out of 32 and last year it was 26th out of 32. And early in the season we relied heavily on a career year from Rico Dowdle who is no longer on the roster. This is only reinforced by the fact that we (depending on how one views it) effectively took playcalling out of Dave Canales hands and brought in another offensive mind. The elephant in the room isn't going anywhere no matter how much we may not like it.
