Quick Question:

Jeremy Igo

Where do I sign?

I'm staring down the barrel of 59 years old, in very good health, no underlying health conditions, and for a number of reasons I have a lot of confidence in my immune system.  We have friends about my age or a few years older who, if I were in their general health, my answer would probably be different.

Besides, even though I work out of my house and telecommute, I was traveling quite a bit when this thing emerged.  I'm pretty sure I was exposed to it already.  Given that, where do I collect?

No. At my age the time is more important to me than the money. And before anyone says that quarantine time is not quality time I will politely disagree. I worked my entire life to get to this point and the time I am spending with my wife these days is the big payoff. Can't go to a restaurant as often? Have to wear a mask in public?  Can't go to a bar and see a band? Can't go to a 3 day Phish run at MSG? For me, those are minor inconveniences if it means I get to spend one more day with her.

I take the same chance every time I go to Harris Teeter and see hardly anyone in a mask.  My parents live 500 miles away so I couldn't give it to them.  So yes (assuming it's a million tax free).   If I am part of the tiny fraction that dies of it, at least my kid would be set with no debt.
