Derrick Brown is a brick wall

Just needs some time to work on his passrushing skills. Lots of promise and looks to be improving his game each week.

When the outside guys get better and we get a threat at MLB, that will help.  He was doubled a lot Sunday---and did his job well.

I think eventually you will get about the same what you got out of star...  i think star was better vs the pass than brown.. but similar ability.... is that worth a top 7 pick???a run stuffer? I hope so.. im still not sold.

I would say Brown will prove significantly better vs the pass than Star.

I don't see why everyone here acts as if they haven't seen a young player develop before.

The rule for Defensive Linemen (and honestly football players in general) is that it takes 2-3 years to develop.  Yes you have exceptions, but in general you have to give them time....let alone calling him a bust after 2 games smh

And work on the get off form the snap.  I did not think he could bully NFL OG/Cs, WRONG! Just like at other spots (LB, S, CB) imagine the DL without Brown. Im very impressed given hes a rookie, can not understand the tard-level hate for him on here tho..

    • Not only for Andersen but the whole team, having not beat the Habs this season before tonite.  Shows them that they aren't jinxed.
    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
