that we are witnessing the beginning of a dynasty?  Yes, it was sad to win, but to see the way we played--the preparation--and across the field, a lackluster, arms folded coach with everything to play for---it showed me how different Rhule is going to be over Rivera.

I am seeing guys like Franklin, Hartsfield, Zylstra, Haynes, Miller, Taylor, Carter, Cannon, R.Smith, Burris, Scott, etc. playing at a high level--we have 25% of our cap space in dead money and we have--sitting on the sideline with an ice pack---Okung, KK Short, and CMC.  Half of the resources on this team were not on the field today-and they were playing lights out.

Yes I was pissed, but I am also seeing what turned around 2 college programs--I am seeing a motivator's magic.

People will want to play here--Rhule will get the most from the bottom of the roster.  Once we get a few key pieces--like a QB, TE, LT, and maybe a DB or two, I think we will be very good.

On the contrary, I see us bumbling towards NFL purgatory where we consistently bounce between 6-10 and 9-7 for years.

Sadly, that will be our fate IF we keep Teddy Two Yards at QB and don’t sell the farm for our QB of the future.

I would have never imagined this roster winning 5 games this year with CMC missing most of it. We released/lost so many crucial players and are eating a ton of dead money while playing a lot of rookies. This staff appears to know what it is doing. This offseason will be critical. If we hit on GM and possible QB then we should have the starts of something special.

It's far too early to say 'dynasty', but it's clear that the level of coaching is higher than it's been for over a decade in Charlotte.

The ability this coaching staff has shown to get the most out of the bottom of the roster, turning PS players into decent makeshift starters, is very promising.

The proof will be in the pudding - was the 2020 Draft a fluke, or will we consistently hit on our picks from here on out? We need at least two more good Drafts to be a contender. This roster is devoid of talent.

I see only darkness for the foreseeable future. A malaise covers this team. There is no hope for winning seasons. We will celebrate the 7-9 season when it comes around every 4 or so years.

Capt. Obvious.  More like General Downer

    • I've shown you numerous comps for other tackles in the same age and talent range.  His contract, taking into account his age, health, etc.  is the going rate.  It's a fair deal. I've shown you examples of how long it usually takes to find even an average replacement.  Hell, look at every tackle that has ever started for the Panthers.  How many would you consider a success?  They are not easy to find. After everything we've done with this team since drafting Bryce why would we decide to let our best linemen go and add a huge question mark at tackle?   FA is a crapshoot in which any guy available will have cons/issues.  If not, they'll cost a fortune.   Outside of a first or maybe 2nd round pic next year it'll take a few years for a tackle to learn the position at the NFL level.  There are still questions about Icky. Every vet NFL player deals with maintenance.  Between the contract value and history I'm not overly worried about his knee.  I contend his knee issue isn't anything to be overly worried about.  It's not zero risk but it's an acceptable risk.  Every player we draft and every contract we sign has risk.  You're blowing up his own negative words about his knees and ignoring him saying he is healthy and the knee is a non issue.  You have a strong chicken little complex with this team.  Being he has always been a Panther they are very aware of any health issues. We paid now because now is cheaper.  If his knee was really an issue they would have waited.  That tells me it's not the issue you want it to be.
