Trubisky rumors

I don’t know about that. Trubisky flat out struggles to move the offense. He’s more athletic than Teddy, but Teddy can at least get you in scoring position, albeit he’s absolutely god awful in the red zone. I really think it’s a push given their strengths and weaknesses. I wouldn’t want either as my starting QB and honestly I might prefer Bridgewater. And that thought makes me want to vomit.

Hey we could sign Trubisky and play both. Use Teddy to get them to redzone and then put Trubisky in to get them the score. Boom

Mitch has a bad offensive line, bad running game and only one good WR in Robinson. Plus (as previously stated) his coach did about everything to ruin his confidence. I wouldn’t want him as our 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice. However if we strike out on other options, I think he would be an upgrade.

Damn good receivers? Bears were top 5 in dropped catchable balls.... outside of Robinson they had no one.

They had Anthony Miller, rookie Darnell Mooney who looks to be legit, and Allen Robinson. Not to mention Jimmy Graham. That's a serviceable corps for anyone.

Trubisky has problems that may or may not be able to be fixed:

"Trubisky still struggles with basic aspects of pro quarterbacking. He doesn’t consistently see open receivers, trust clean pockets, or keep his eyes dowfield amid a pass rush."

This same anthony Miller?

anthony Miller has been downright awful. I watch bears game almost as much as panthers. Their WR corps will be overhauled this offseason. They played bad with both foles and Mitch.

david Montgomery was their third best receiver. Trubisky wasn’t the problem, it’s the entire roster of the bears on offense that’s the problem.

    • Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.
    • I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.
    • I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
