To everyone saying that that the Saints don't have the cap space:

A large part of Wilson's cap number with the Seahawks is dead money from his signing bonus.  Any team that trades for him will only be responsible for his salary, which is only $19m.

A team like the Saints, who will be close on cap space could convert that $19m to a bonus and drop his 2021 cap hit to about $4m, and the Saints can make that much room.

Next year, 31.

Now with that said Kwon Alexander is still there with a 13.5 million dollar hit. He will be cut this year to save 13.5 million and has a 0 dead money hit.

Ramczyk and Lattimore can both be extended this year to lower their 5th option hits of 10 million.

I don’t see how they can afford to bring a guy like Marcus Williams back. They’ll have to maneuver things to keep what they have and add Wilson. But it’s not as impossible as some here think

I hope Marcus Williams is on our radar if the "cap wizards" of the Taints can't get him back.

Man it is pretty amazing how lathered up you get every time Verge posts something.  Pretty damn weird to be honest.

he's butthurt because he posts forgettable takes fourteen hours a day seven days a week but consistently gets outperformed by some lady popping in on lunch break to post actual newsworthy items that get 10x the attention lol

    • Also a little nitpicky but I think the initial wording for 3 vs 4 should be flip-flopped. Bad is worse than "not good".
    • Well, it’s rare to have great everything.  Thats why the pairings matter.  Maybe you have a dominate DL and a weak secondary.  It can work.  Maybe you have a dominate OL and okay RBs.  if your OC and QB are both essentially okay to below average then that’s not going to work.  Dave needs a QB to help him.  Bryce needs an OC to help him.  Neither are built to uplift the other.   But are in need of the assistance
    • He's clearly a 4-5 right now. The question is obviously not "Do we give him $50+ million per year or cut him?" even though that seems to be how half of the people seem to present it.  The reality is that it's nonsensical to just cut Bryce and completely give up now. We're paying him either way. Bare minimum he gets 1 more year. I would give him the 5th year because it would make him one of the cheapest starters in the NFL and unless you're incredibly biased, you have to acknowledge Bryce is at minimum an above average backup even if he gets no better. So worst case, he doesn't improve and you have a pricy backup/below average bridge starter, perhaps for another rookie qb, on a contract that won't remotely cripple your team and still give you a chance to build a strong roster around your next QB. I don't think you can assume Bryce can't get better either. Darnold is proof of that. And his Jets years weren't any better/arguably worse than Bryce's 3 years here.
