You know there is a solid possibility that she was as bad as Hardy? After the facts came in, they both sounded like POSs.

This is a different sitituation as it stands. The lawyer has credibility issues and ties to an owner with no credibility and a history of heavy and dumb BS. With the timing, it reeks of awefulness.

Is it really that far out of the realm of possibility that people on a Charlotte sports team board would have had some contact with a local Charlotte girl?

What a story this has become.  I hope there is nothing to it, but if there is something to this, I do not want him.

There are few men on earth that can’t have an “allegation” of sorts against them. So much gray area with women. It’s often not that black and white and the lines are often blurred. A lot of women want you to be aggressive and chase them, but a little too aggressive and you can find yourself in this type of situation. I’ve been baited before and I’m not even famous, I can only imagine some of the situations these guys find themselves in.

Not saying that’s what happened in this situation, but Deshaun is a guy that deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Agree 100% and well stated.  Frankly, I am skeptical and hope that this turns out to be nothing and the scoundrels behind it get their due.  The timing, when he was seeking a trade, made him vulnerable to the vultures of this world who seek to extort money from those who earn it legitimately.  I advocate for good people--and being accused does not make you a bad person no more than accusing someone makes you a victim. This is not to say he or anyone else is incapable, but it is to suggest that they better bring some hard, convincing evidence.

I am an educator (was a high school English teacher--now an Education Leadership professor in the UNC system), and I knew male teachers who messed around with high school students and I reported them (female students came to me because I was their coach).  People attacked me because they were complaining about the football coach (I was also a football coach) on a team that was undefeated the previous year.  I was always aware that any female who gets a bad grade, etc. could accuse me--and once accused in education, you have to fight it (expensive) and you have to find a job in another place.  The newspapers will put you on the front page and once you have proven your innocence, it is hardly news worthy so the story is buried on the back pages if reported at all.  I was never accused, but always aware of the possibility.

On the very first page someone kramers in talking about "punishing these lying bitches"

that's pretty much exactly how the hardy situation started, and by the end of the day you had people who claimed to have gone to school with her talking about all the dudes "they totally knew she blew"

False accusers need to get punishment as well in my opinion.  Even if it's eventually proven that the accused did nothing wrong the whirling poo storm caused by those types of accusations doesn't just poof into non-existence .

Is that the post you're talking about? Do you see what you did there? You took a perfectly innocent comment and turned it into something ugly. Either you did that on purpose or your mind heard what it wanted. In either case the problem isn't theirs it's yours.

This is awful all around.

Really hope that there is a thorough investigation conducted so that any victim(s) in this ordeal can obtain justice.

This is probably a he said, she said situation in which nothing can be proven so the victim in this case, the accused, cannot have justice because he cannot prove it's a lie but the damage is done regardless. Which is usually the point and why people get paid. If he did something wrong, involve the police. If not pee off because I don't take you at your word only.

    • The division is most certainly wide open. The Bucs are a problem but Baker Mayfield is and will remain his own worst enemy it's a matter of when not if he has a bad game or even a stretch of bad games. As far as the Panthers they have done an admirable job of trying to address needs as best they can without pulling a Scott Fitterer and getting desperate which has only made us worse off in the past. On the Bryce subject all anyone can really say at this point is we just have to wait and see. This is the year and despite what the Panthers may say publicly doubling down and going all in on WR is as good as any sign anyone should need that they expect Bryce Young to have a very productive and convincing season. The pieces are in place. They aren't perfect but nothing ever will be. Regardless there's honestly no excuse for this staff and this team not to be able to compete in this iteration of the NFC South. Also just want to say this because I can say the hyper defensive posts already being made in here and it's probably going to be a season with highs and lows again but hopefully more highs for sure. But just because there is dialogue about a position group or a player that challenges your preconceived notions or makes you uncomfortable does not make it "hate" or "anti" this player or that player. For some people who talk a lot about nuance you would think this wouldn't need to be stated but that's where we're at.
    • If I was a coach I would preach "Don't let the refs decide the game" because as soon as you let the NFL the chance to help their bottom dollar whether it be teams that make most money or gambling then they will screw the team that doesn't fit their bottom line......is it rigged? No but do they try and make certain narratives happen abso-freakin-lutley. As I stated in a previous thread NFL players are the ones that SHOULD have all guaranteed contracts but the boot lickers on this forum disagree and argue for the billionaires in this world who own these teams, sheep
    • I wont go quite so far as to say games are rigged.  You wouldnt have to work hard to convince me there was the occasional thumb on the scale but outright rigged? nah.   but collusion on the rest of the "business" of football, sure.  No one really believes that the only time the 32 owners act as one is during the negotiations of the CBA do they?
