The problem with that text is if he said something like "Hey, sorry for asking for that happy ending.", does that automatically condemn him for all of the other accusations. Going from asking for a happy ending to sexual assault allegations is a pretty big leap.

It won't win their case in court outright but if they prove he solicited them I think that'll be enough for the league to at least call misconduct. Wouldn't end his career though.

How in the Hell does a court case being criminal or civil have anything to do with whether or not victims of sexual assault should be cared for?

Lets see civil cases aim to acquire money. Criminal cases seek to punish the individual.

There's a text where he apologized for exposing himself?  That would be a problem.

It'll likely be an apology text. She'll say it's because of the inappropriate sexual conduct. He'll say it's for being late for the appointment.

Oh, he specifically apologized for inappropriate actions? She'll say it's because of the inappropriate sexual conduct. He'll say he farted.

If Deshaun is truly innocent, he needs to get out ahead of this, hold a presser vehemently denying everything, and counter sue for defamation.

If he settles then yeah, he probably did it. Disappointing, but won't end his career. I mean Rothlisberger shoved a women in a bathroom stall and flashed his penis and still went on to play 10 years.

the catch for Watson is....let's say he is a user of female escorts on instagram?  Hard to come out and be like (as a face of a franchise NFL QB), relax folks, I only committed this crime and not that one.

I think if he does he would've been smart enough to pay the hush money and move on but who knows?

if it's anything more specific than the generic "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable" apologies that usually happen in these situations I'd be shocked.

Or, maybe he was legitimately embarrassed and apologetic for not coming correct--err becoming erect!

Kraft's paramour was a willing participant...

...surely you understand the difference?

human trafficking victims are not willing participants. the police were called on the massage parlor that Kraft was in because it fit the tell tale signs of human trafficking.

edit: i see you've already had this explained to you but are ignoring it, so i'll chalk you down as a bad-faith arguer

Not ignoring at all --- see my response in last post on page-9.

You fell into the same trap as @Zod and should also acquaint yourself with the facts of the case.

The facts of the case are in diametric opposition to the "human trafficking" rhetoric you are both propagating.

It's ok...the news cycles moves fast and "the cops were wrong" doesn't generate clicks/views and rarely gets media coverage after-the-fact in cases of this nature --- easy to miss on your part.

Cheers.  @joemac @LMT @Martin

    • yeah, but the actual jersey Bryce Young is wearing is not the same jersey you are buying from Fanatics.
    • i just feel like i read this he says she says poo all the time over & over again  on the internet  TV  work ,in public & then i think back to myself oh what a sick slandermongering world we live in now. ts just like those National Enquirer magazines you find in the grocery store at the checkout counter which are nothing more than complete & utter BS  & more often than not when you assume something then you make an ASS out of U & ME. so chill &  let the courts do their job & if he is guilty well he is guilty  LOL either or this has nothing at all whatsoever to do with Carolina Panthers football
    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
