Dolphins fans think we’re desperate

Desperate enough to swap picks, then trade next year’s first, this year’s second and in some of their minds, all that plus 2023 first.

To move up two spots...lol

I have faith we’re not this stupid.

I believe the calculated value is like a second this year and maybe something like a third next year.

It’s the offseason and not much going on - so their discussion is good for some laughs:

We could be that desperate but I dont see any reason to move at this point the fins are running out of teams that could leap us for a QB that are reasonable close to the top of the first.

Looking at the new order the only team I can see Denver at 9 and a few maybes in the Pats at 15 or Wash at 19 and that's a long way from 6.

We are, but not to give up that much to move up two spots. Especially not before the draft when who knows who will be available. Now say if one of the top four are there at six, I’d give next year’s 2nd to move up two spots to make sure someone else doesn’t move up and snatch him right before us.

some fans are that desperate, i doubt anyone in the front office is.

The same front office that’s tried to trade for every QB this off-season? After giving Teddy B 60 million? The same front office willing to give their first borns to the Texans? Yea they aren’t desperate at all.

    • I am not sure it should be a ‘sell out to go to the SB’ season. And hope they don’t.  At the same time I was thinking you absolutely must find out if you want to pay for Bryce or not. That means putting it on him. No protecting and trying to hide weaknesses with the run game and a super conservative calls.  So I wish they would do it and find out, win or lose, 2026. No more developing. Time to do it. Let’s see once and for all.
    • My biggest fear with Bryce Young is that he will always do just enough to stick around. He shows flashes and then drops a turd so the hopium is always there. Like his career highlight reel if you cut it up to some hype music and did a YouTube video would actually be quite good. His great plays really, really look good. But after that video you look at his yearly averages for completion percentage, yardage, touchdowns, and virtually every other metric and it is meh as fug. Like you know Bryce is gonna be 13/23 for 157 yards a touchdown and probably a pick.  I will 100% give him his flowers for his athleticism and ability to scramble outside the pocket. I haven’t seen the mythical “super processing ability” he was touted for per se, but he has shown flashes of absolutely elite awareness when it comes to scrambling. The little basketball move he does to shake defensive linemen has almost become a signature move. It’s hard to explain but you know it when you see it he stops on a dime and pivots like he is gonna hit a step back jumper and it has gotten him out of a lot of trouble.  I sincerely, truly, as a vocal Bryce HATER, hope that since we are obviously running with him next year the coaching staff actually tailors plays around his strengths. He needs to be in a pure spread IMO. His size is much less of a hindrance when he can play QB in open space. I feel like most of his highlight reel is from scrambles and play action/bootlegs.
