They're not going to trade up in the first. They're all too chicken poo.

The front office are scared. Fitt, Tepper, Rhule are all trying to play the safest they can. It's why Horn was the pick. It's someone they evaluated to the point they knew what they were getting, and stuck with. It's a lot like Dave Gettleman's time in Carolina where he fell in love with certain prospects and made sure he stuck with them, telegraphing it the entire way.

If they trade up it's going to be mid 2nd and 3rd round for a prospect they're afraid won't be there, just like Dave Gettleman, unfortunately.

Man it most hurt to be both this cynical snd this self assured.

But the gaining the option for moving up 8-11 spots would take like a 3rd.  Maybe?

We need players, period. Trading away picks doesn't make sense. Those top 3-4 round picks can all be two deep players for us. Trading back in means you believe a guy is a star player.

I don't really trust our talent evaluators enough to want that to happen. Perhaps Fitterer and Rhule look like geniuses in hindsight but I am pretty skeptical at the moment.
