Per Matt Miller, the Carolina Panthers are the most improved team exiting the draft...

I'm really hoping Christensen is a day one starter. LT was a gigantic need and Fiterer / Rule took their sweet time before trying to address it.

If he can't beat out Elflien or Erving then that is a big problem given all the LT prospects we could've gotten R1-R3

Short arms and can't run block? You don't find a day one starter at Left Tackle in round 3 and if that's the case, your season is probably done. Best case scenario is that we get a recharged Cam Erving.

Tell that to David Bakhtiari.

Pretty easy to improve when your roster is bad as the Panthers.  The only decent group is WR and our best one walked in the offseason.

I know right? We will be lucky to win half as many games as we did last year. Panther fans are in for a rude awakening. And with that extra 17th game, we get to lose one more game. Am I right?

PFF wouldn’t stop poo poo ing on the passing of Fields but I guess they just won’t come to grasp that the staff has confidence in Darnold. I love the diversity of our draft, which they’re not really talking about. I hear so much Chargers, Bears, and Browns bland solid draft talk, though.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
