He gets cut. There aren’t many Gettleman or Hurney picks that need to be on our roster. It’s time to get rid of players that accept mediocrity.

Thomas will get 2.2 M in the last year of his deal.  So he could be cut and the team would have no dead money.

I think he's gone and the Panthers put that money to use somewhere else on the roster.

I thought it was funny that when Tremble was drafted they ended up spending just as much time talking about Arnold as they did Tremble. Aquib Talib was praising him which means something to me because he was a great player who could cover the best tight ends.

Pretty sure the Tremble pick, at least initially, was made to save a roster spot.  Last year we carried both Alex Armah and Chris Manhertz.  Tremble can take the place of both in this offense.

Agreed. That’s his floor on the team. Promising guy & Arnold wil be the TE1

Exactly.  Don’t underestimate this in a 17 game season.   Rhule already pointed out that the wanted to rotate more DL and have better depth in the secondary for a 17 game season.

Saving a spot there plus now carrying 55 instead of 53 players might mean a couple other rookies make the team.

Love this post. I think he's going to surprise a lot people in this offense next year

Love that our staff recognized our limitations in the red zone/ 3rd downs last year and went out and grabbed a guy to fix that. He's our best FA pick up on offense.

I still don’t get the Tremble hype. Arnold on the other hand seems like a underrated addition to this offense. Especially when u factor in opposing defenses will be focusing on all our other weapons. I could see him being a very nice contributor this year.

And we signed him for 2 years, $6M! Not too shabby.

    • win or lose the trolling and shitposts will be superb
    • I love  almost everything  we did in the offseason but we still have Bryce.  They have to be favored.     Sorry I just can’t see him as an asset yet.  His first chance to prove me wrong.    And WIliams was a LOT better last year than 2024.  He will probably still be getting better before he hits his plateau.
    • Outside of both having very good straight line speed, I don't see much in common. Chark was mostly a play action Chuck it deep type of receiver. Brazzell, while raw with route running, is fully capable of running most routes. He is way better at using his body to shield defenders from the ball than chark and does a better job attacking the ball and creating a wide catch radius. Agree Brazzell will need to prove he can beat the press and I imagine he will see a lot of it when he is on the field. I still think he has quite a bit of development to go through (particularly with his route running, press beat techniques, and reading zone coverage), so I don't expect to see him on the field much this year (barring injuries)
