Bad news on Olsen's son

A good friend of mine that owns a couple of restaurants in Charlotte lost his 6yr old daughter last year from the same issue that TJ Olsen currently suffers from. Fingers crossed for the Olsen & Yang families.

I know people who work in the hospital where Greg's son has gotten treatment.  Greg spends a lot of time with other families who have been afflicted with juvenile congenital heart defects.  He was a great football player but is an even better person.

Brutal.. What makes this extra sad is that for the Olsen family to have a positive outcome, another family will endure an unimaginable loss.

There is nothing more devastating than to watch a child so innocent struggle to survive.  It's the worst thing a parent will ever face.   As a parent myself my heart goes out to Greg and his wife.

Hate hearing that.  I’m sorry for their loss, even though words do nothing in a time like that.  I honestly thought TJ was out of the woods, so this is pretty surprising.  Poor guy has had a rough start to life but it’s good he has such a great family around him.

Damn I hate hearing things like this for anyone but especially a child who has had to overcome so much at such a young age. Stuff like this makes me so disgusted and makes me ask why things are as they are if there is a higher power. Makes me question too much to even type. I hope somehow that little kid pulls through and gets his new heart. His whole life will be a challenge like this I am sure.

One of the reasons I have been an organ donor since I was 18 and have encouraged everyone in my family to be one as well, even with their kids should something happen. The body is just a shell and I can't think of anything better than giving another person a chance at life.

I can’t imagine how helpless he must feel as a father watching your young child face a health crisis like he is.

No parent should have to go through something like that. Even though I have no children of my own this makes me sad prayers young T.J. gets the helps he needs and lives a long and healthy life.

Everyone should also take the next opportunity to make sure they're an organ donor as well.

This really puts life into perspective and actually makes me ashamed of myself for whining about small things when you have others going through things like this. We need to all realize that we are all blessed and life is precious. I send prayers to the Olsen family and hopefully things can be turned around .
