He might, but I wouldn't expect Reid to say something like that.

Bell needs to hang it up and have several seats. Ever since his last year with the Steelers, it’s been nothing but drama with him. He’s pretty much done and the game is probably done with him at this point.

Anybody been following this story?

If you have, do you have an opinion on it?

Nope, elaborate on this here discussion board for discussions.

What do you suppose Reid might have said that set Bell off so much?

The truth?
Or perhaps some people are just emo, or drama kings, or immature, or all, or a combination of these.

Bell said something and got flamed online.  In return he throws out a very vague "you don't know what Andy said to me" super top secret response.  I'm going to say that as long as Bell wants to keep what was said super duper G14 classified...I will consider him full of poo.  Which leads back to what the Honey Badger said.  Some guys just like to blame others for their lack of success.

In short, if Le' Veone Bell is angry that Andy Reid wouldn’t put him on the field, he should already realize that, at least at present, no one else wants him on the field either.

His last three seasons were a year-long holdout, a miserable year with the Jets in ’19 (with a 3.2 yards/carry average) and then last year’s forgotten season with the Chiefs (in which he put up 63 carries for 254 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns). At this point, you have to ask why anyone would come calling.

    • Could do better could do worse. I've seen some people very indignant over bringing him back and I can absolutely relate to the sentiment. But it's just in a backup role. He's also a good locker room presence and an effort player so for a 1 year rental in a year where we aren't going to do much it's fine. This is a development year. And there will be options if need be at the trade deadline. Besides at the end of the day we all knew a signing like this was around the corner after how drafting Mark Williams ended. He should have been our franchise center for the next several years. I don’t put that failure on the Hornets.
    • No one is upset.  And what I referred has been happening.   Patrick Mahomes has an offseason basketball clause in his contract.  A ton of other physical activites like jet skiing, baseball and all sorts of physical activities are written into his contract.  XL likely already has ATVs and stuff written into his contact.  League already has been inserting a lot of that stuff into basic contracts for non-top tier players and we have seen it pan out.
    • A payment for future production, puts him a cane for 9 seasons.
