I guess people forgot about CMC getting ran down in his first 3 years too. He put in the work and now hardly ever gets caught anymore. People making this such a big deal when there is none.

At this point some carolina panther fans will never see it for pj walker and thats something i accept. its cool, we know whats up though.

I was thinking the same thing watching this game.  It's a good thing and you're right I expect to see one or two of these guys on other teams when the season starts.

I'm going to say the first half offensive line: Scott, Maskey, Tecklenburg, Deonte Brown and Brady Christensen.  They allowed 0 sacks, 0 FF, 161 yards passing with 0 interceptions and 80 yds rushing from the RB while the QB didn't have to run for a single yard.   

Was it perfect?  No.  Were there penalties? Yes.   

But extrapolate that out to a whole game and we would have blown them out.

With as much trash the huddle has given our O line, I think a thanks is due when they do decent.

Marshall is no burner, but he's no Kevin Benjamin either. He and Hubbard just need to work on their conditioning......remember CMC and Moore couldn't finish off long plays their rookie years

So was Chubba. I love how pissed he was that he got caught on that 60 yard run. That's how you know he's a baller, he takes one 60 yards and gets visible mad that it wasn't a TD. I wish his hands were a little better though, he dropped a couple of easy catches.

David Moore didn't get as many touches being a vet, but I was impressed by him as well. He looked to be PJ's favorite target right off the bat, and made some nice catches. WR and DE are definitely our deepest positions.

also, the guy chasing Marshall was locked in on a straight line sprint going  all out. 

Marshall was out there turning his head left and right looking for defenders to stiff arm and evade. 

Even if they had the exact same top end speed...the defender is going to be faster just given what the two were doing.   

Plays like that are why preseason games actually matter though for young guys.  Real game scenarios.  Learning experiences.  It takes work to figure out the league where everyone is fast and strong.  That probably was an easy TD in college for him.   Gotta find another gear and moves to pull it off in a NFL game.

Yep. Hacked off he didn't score, gotta love that passion! It's hard not to be excited about this rookie class, like, super freakin' stoked.

There are varying schools of thought on this but, with last year a complete defensive draft, and this year virtually all offense, there is little doubt in my mind the Panthers are in year two of the rebuild process.

 

Honestly, it feels like we have adults in charge for the first time ever and this is coming along splendidly. Somebody slap me and wake me up.
