This says, to me, that we are trading for Jalyn Smith from the Cowboys. They took Micah Parsons, who I wish we would've taken rather than Horn. To have a franchise capable QB and QB of the defense again.

Parsons is a Vander esch replacement.  Not a Smith replacement

Flipped a 7th for a 6th 😮

so... from offseason cuts alone, the Panthers have offloaded Greg Little and Denzel Perryman for a 6th round pick.

I'm ok with this, especially if that 6th can get the team another player as good as Deonte Brown, Shi Smith, or what could've been Trey Smith.

Again, I'm not making definitive statements. The difference with FA though and particularly the guys signed is that there is already extensive film on them. Expectations can be reasonably set and thus far they're right on par with those performance-based expectations, which were fairly low.

I predict hindsight will not be kind to the Elflein and Erving signings. If that does come to pass, the portion of us that were unhappy at the time of the signings are going to be REALLY fuging unhappy about those decisions.

But, if they flop and Darnold and the defensive players pan out, it will just be a minor bitching point.

Neither Smith nor Vanderesch will be starting.

I believe Smiths length and speed is better than anything that we currently have and his cap hit fits nicely in the newly vacated spot.

There is a rumor that the Cowboys are looking to part ways with Smith.

Honestly though, if we were trading with the Cowboys, I'd rather go for Connor McGovern.

I think you mean another long snapper.

It's probably BS but who knows

So it finally starts at 9:30 and he says "The Panthers have traded Denzel Washington to the Raiders for a 6th and 7th Round Pick"... Then complains it makes Fitt look like he's only looking forward to next season and given up this year.

So I can't take him too seriously.

Yeah, doesn't make much sense. I mean, we parted ways with a player who has hardly seen the practice field.

I've never heard of him. I admittedly didn't watch as much NFL football in 2020 as I did in previous years.

In all honesty, I'm for signing or trading for anyone that can help the team. If you believe McGovern can do it, and his cost is reasonable, I'd say go for it.

For me, I just love the speed and length of Smith. He's almost a Kam Chancellor type of talent if used properly due to his measurables. With Chinn and Smith you'd almost have a Thomas/Chancellor dynamic. However we would be in a better position on the boundary with Horn than Seattle was with Sherman, in my opinion.

Of course neither option will happen. And I don't believe that Snow is a Bradley or the other DC (forgot his name).

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
