I agree..  but if they can play, they can play.  Pretty sure thats gonna be taken care of on final cuts.  I expect maybe 5 or less on the active 53.  Off the top of my head, Reddick is a baller no matter where he played, and I really like Sam Franklin's potential.  Other than that, most of his other college guys can gtfo.

I mostly agree, but in some cases I think the rapport with the coach can really lead to improved performance by a player.  We saw it with a few Rivera guys who he snagged from his prior teams (Tolbert comes to mind). Also, listening to Robby talk about how much he's feeling comfortable and at home in Charlotte, I think his connection with Rhule is a part of it. So, the Temple / Baylor guys might sometimes have a real reason why they might be great fits on the team

I’m not going to be surprised if we keep both kickers. That will be dumb but I see it happening

I would be surprised because this staff hasn't done anything that stupid yet. Well.....maybe the drafting a long snapper but I mean more so with the roster.

Toting two place kickers is extremely stupid.

wonder if there is a stat that shows avg starting field position after kickoffs?  Would be interesting to see that.  Outcome of TBs vs those tempting fate

That would be an interesting stat.  Shorter kickoffs do allow for runbacks, but they also many times cause holding or block in the back penalties, which set the receiving team back behind their 25.  Or muffs or forced fumbles.

I kinda wonder if JJ didn't say something that might have prevoked them in the off-season to pulling the trigger on the LS.  Like hedging their bets?  I'm like the rest of you on why they used a late pick on one, granted he was the best in the draft but still.
