Talented Unvaccinated Players Getting Cut

Here is what will happen imo. Team X will have a COVID outbreak and forfeit several games. Then the NFL will make the mandatory vaccine announcement. The thing that is holding them back is that if a player is harmed by the vaccine, then that player can sue that NFL.

The odds of this vaccine “harming” a player who gets it are slim to none. Like a snowballs chance in hell low.

the odds of an unvaccinated player causing a team to forfeit are much, much greater.

Being unvaccinated is going to be a liability in the NFL this year. You better be a LOT better than your backup or have a contract that makes you virtually uncuttable.

With our LB roster, I'd eager that Perryman is probably still here even with his injury struggles if he was vaccinated.

Being unvaccinated is akin to having an injury issue that's contagious.

Bingo. Highly likelihood that this was why Cam was cut, IMO.

Coaches absolutely have the leeway to eliminate all unvaccinated players.

On a similar topic, what's the make/miss roster-spot count on all the players who voluntarily sat out last season?

Actually now that it is FDA approved you won't win a case saying the NFL harmed you. Plus you don't have to play in the league if you don't want to be vaccinated. It is still your choice if you want to play. Many employers are now requiring vaccines. With that being said you can be sued by anybody for any reason so I am sure there might be some cases.

Let me be clear, if I wasn't in other threads, that I want the vaccine to be mandatory for all NFL players, coaches ect.  I don't care if the players try to sue if any of them are harmed in any way. In fact, I'd rather cancel this season than have players spread COVID on and off the field.

When this happens people will start retiring early.

I imagine that year on the couch didn't do Christian Miller any favors.

It made no sense to me to sit out for COVID concerns. The players were tested regularly and were around other people who were very quickly isolated if they did test positive. Seemed a lot safer to be around regularly tested and isolated people than it did to be around whoever the hell else it was you were around at that time, and whoever they came in contact with too.

Anyways.....why do I have a strong feeling many of them sat out and now refuse to take the vaccine? This whole situation has caused everyone to lose their damn minds.

Also, why does this list have "Las Vegas Raiders" as a player sitting out this year? lol

Won't be long before the vaccine is mandatory in the NFL imo.

I completely understanding any player that decides not to get vaccinated. However with the rule about forfeiting of a game due to a Covid outbreak I also understand why teams may use the vaccination a factor on whether to cut a player or not.
