We've lost another beat reporter

I've always felt like, until more recent years, that our state's pro teams were just the farm system for all of the other pro sports teams...  well, I am happy to report that our teams aren't any longer, but it sure seems our media outlets have assumed their role.😂  Damn, we can't keep any reporters around...  and the ones we do, the Panthers hire in keep them in-house, so the messaging is pretty well packaged.

People still get news from the observer?

How often is any observer piece posted here? I can't recall any recently.

Whens the last time you dropped some actually news and not an HORRIBLE prediction that usually never happens? I'll wait... you're just as bad as the rest of the media here always talking down but yet you can't even get simple acess to take pictures anymore lol something about glass houses?? and stones?

Mr. Scot always posts stuff, I lose track but I'm sure he probably posted one piece or two this year.

Anyway, kuddos for her. Seems like the Charlotte Observer keeps losing decent beat writers, with the exception of Joe person.

If you have been around through camp you would know the lack of access is definitely not limited to him. The Panthers have taken control of the local media scene now. Some people will like it that way others will view it as a loss for fans. But that's where we're at.

    • Always nice to cash it in the first half. Should have been +800ish with the Newcastle win.
    • At the end of the day, our #3 wide receiver will have to be just that, #3. Tmac and Coker both need to get their reps in to let them grow. No need to bring in someone who needs all the targets and isn't a security blanket or a first down mover. This is when a veteran receiver is valuable (Thielen) and won't need the spotlight. I would look at free agency at veteran guys like Christian Kirk (5.3 Million Market Value) Tutu Atwell (2.6 Million Market Value) Deandre Hopkins (1.4 Million Market Value) Keenan Allen (6.8 Million Market Value) Guys like Tyreek Hill, Mike Evan, Rasheed Shaheed, Wandale Robinson would command north of 15 million, which would be too much for a #3 receiver.
    • Another small one today that's looking solid although I forgot to add Newcastle actually winning the game lol. If I hit I'll probably throw profit on the inter game. Need 5 more shots on target in the game and 4 more Newcastle corners
