I can see Sam’s confidence growing as the game goes on. Defense is also playing great!

He's looked better the past two drives. He made some poor plays early in the game that against a better team may have turned the tide of the game. 

We'll have to hope this isn't a trend (Pitt and Today) and just getting used to a new team.

That TD throw alone highlights the difference in dynamics between Sam and Teddy. It's a splash play and no guarantee of any kind of future success but Teddy does not have the physical ability to make that happen. It's exactly the type of quarterbacking capability that the best teams have in their toolbox.

Also highlights the nonsense about 20 yards being a deep throw. That was a momentum-changing play and is the type that breaks games open. 20 yards is not an accurate metric for this capability.

What has impressed me most about Darnold is how he moves around the pocket, and delivers balls even when he is about to get hit.  He is playing fearless, which was one of our biggest concerns for him.

Id argue its better. 

Corners are glued to their guys, the pass rush is swarming Wilson and impacting every throw. 

Wilson's had his arm sleeve shredded since the 1st quarter from guys grabbing at it.

That doesn't show up in a box score that says:

"Z. Wilson pass incomplete short left"

Not a bad 1st half of football, and Sam played damn well actually.  Hopefully they do not crawl into a defensive shell and let the Jets get back in this.  Stay aggressive and keep the pressure on. 3 sacks was nice to see too.

I've been very impressed by Sam. Keeps delivering accurate passes with rushers in his face. Accuracy on the money.
