LOL! Howell has thrown five picks in six games. Darnold has thrown five in the last two alone. If you're gonna try to throw a jab, make sure it lands.

That dudes on a fresh account and blaming Joe Brady for Sam Darnold throwing interceptions today somehow.

This is not news in any way, shape, or form (and she may very well be flat out wrong if she presented it as OP titled it). I recall the timing being discussed openly during a press conference and sources out there for months have the Panthers offering for Darnold as early as February... Fields' first pro day was in March. Hell, the trade was discussed at the pro day itself.

From the link below:

"The Panthers were first in touch about Darnold in mid-February, after an offer of the eighth overall pick, a fifth-rounder and Teddy Bridgewater for Stafford fell short of what the Lions wound up getting from the Rams for their quarterback. And thereafter, because of strong relationships Douglas had with the Carolina brass, trust and communication between the teams kept the light for a Darnold trade on.

...

Also, as luck would have it, the Jets and Panthers were actually together at Wilson’s pro day in Provo as that deal was being finalized. So Douglas talked with Rhule and Fitterer in Utah about Darnold. And those talks, with the Jets having just lost a suitor and the Panthers now facing dwindling odds of landing a quarterback they valued at eight, sparked new momentum.

...

Douglas and Fitterer talked again on the night of March 29, after both arrived in Columbus for Fields’s Pro Day, and then Douglas talked with Fitterer, Rhule and Stewart again inside the field house at Ohio State after Fields got done throwing. All of which timed up nicely. Just as the final box was being checked, and Douglas and LaFleur were seeing the last quarterback throw, a Darnold trade was coming to life."

The billionaire ownership of the franchise doesn't seem to consider the quality of the starting QB position as being very important so far.

I mean, that's been made very clear for those paying attention and not hating over the last couple of years.

Where have you got this notion from? Tepper has alluded  plenty times how important QB is...far as we know Tepper was all in on Watson more than anybody. He had to be convinced on Darnold project, you could tell over pre season he was still on fence about it.

The jury is out on Fields, but whoever pushed for Sam probably has their job on the line. If Sam doesn't stop playing like Jets Sam heads will roll.

He's had one bad game and suddenly he's the worst QB in the world and oh lord everyone's getting fired.

Never stop, Huddle. You're hilarious.

Dude literally said IF Sam doesn’t get it together. And it’s true. Rhule has passed on qbs in the draft in favor of Teddy bridgewater and Sam Darnold. One didn’t work out after one year of a 3 year deal and Sam just regressed majorly this past game. They need to get him back on track because if he doesn’t those seats are gonna get hot going into next year. If Sam doesn’t and we roll with him next year without other options there is a strong possibility that Rhule’s tenure will end in Carolina within the next two years. That will be 2023/2024.

If I had to make a bold prediction; if we fail to make the playoffs next season you will see Rhule resigning and taking a college job lol

I don’t know. Theses last two QBs seem to be 100 percent Rhule. Tepper seems to really want a franchise QB but he keeps defaulting to Rhules decisions.
Rhule seems to not see much value in a franchise QB and maybe that is because he is a college coach.

Yeah

he can ‘coach them up’ because who has more answers than Matt Rhule

….even if he doesn’t know the questions

the process, you know

His comment made no sense considering we went after Stafford and Watson lol. How are people this stupid and ignorant about poo you can easily just know following the team in a basic way then also this thing called the internet exists lol.
