Panthers plan on meeting with Cam

I was upset that we let Cam get beat to poo the way he did.  I was upset when we cut Cam, especially because of how we did it.  I have not been thrilled with what we've done to replace him.  Those parts of me are happy to see that he might be coming back to Carolina.

The rational part of me is pretty sure that if we do send him out there behind this OL we're just going to finish the job we started the first time he played here and the team failed to assemble a decent offense around the man.  Assuming this does happen I hope that part of me is wrong, but as they say, I doubt it.

It will only be entertaining until his first ugly pass or sack.  Then it will be back to blaming the team for not protecting him. It will be no different than what we've watched so far. But at least this board will get its wet dream only to watch it get pounded into retirement.

The expectation bar is low, anything positive would be fun at this point. We had zero better options. I could have hope that Cam will dump that damn ball off if they show him how the blocking has been. Sam couldn't process it fast enough to play that game. Hell, any hope at this point in this season is like finding a diamond on the ground.

And the people that Cam pisses off by existing is fun to watch. Again, the chance of great football went out the window this offseason, why not have some fun?

Cam at 70% is still drastically better than Darnold.  I would agree the offensive line is an issue but I don't think we will running Cam like a battering ram like Rivera did. We will be asking to him to do just a bit more than Darnold did, and honestly that should be enough to win some games.

All he has to do is hit open WR's. We have been scheming guys open. He does that and this offense might be something to watch.

If he is able to make plays with his feet, it opens everything up for CMC.

Or....it could all end in tears. But, this is the first time all season I have had so much hope.
