No it’s the opposite. He didn’t lead him because of the guy coming downhill. Threw it behind him. 
 

cam is actually one of the best in the league at protecting his wrs.  Lots of dumb posters calling some passes inaccurate when it was actually cam protecting his guys.

I don't.  I've been trying to tell anybody who will listen that he was throwing darts this whole preseason.

I'm just trying to establish their definitions. I had no problem with the play.

Here's the other 2 games he played in the preseason. 

Had a pretty nice throw in the Giants game that should have been a completion but ended up being an interception.

Still seems to have some zip on the ball.

Really cool to see. Thank you OP for sharing. I am tempering my excitement bc the defenses you see in pre-season vs in season are wildly different. Thank you for the post.

Cam's had a season and an offseason learning to read defenses and understand plays under the tutelage of Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels, probably two of the best coaches a QB could have, definitely the best ones Cam has had.

Cam is an experienced and successful NFL QB with a real box of tools at his disposal, but those two coaches have given him something he couldn't have had before. Cam has matured, but hasn't lost all of his fun, but he's going to show he's wiser and more learned out there. His arm might have lost a bit (might not, too -- considering the extended rest) but I think he's going to make up for it in a big way.

I never thought we'd see Cam back here, didn't even want anyone to talk about such a crazy thing, it just caused disappointment. Now, he's here and I'm a whole lot happier than I thought I could be with this season. Hope it holds out!

It was preseason.  History tells us preseason means nothing.  Again, let’s not get overly excited just yet.

McDaniels has shown a lot more ability to mold an offense to the players and situations. 

My concern is that after a period of time Brady relapses to cutsey finesse 40 passes per game  ball.
