If Rhule gets fired, who are your favorite coaching candidates for next year?

It's impossible to say this point who might make the best future HC for the Panthers. It's easier to look into the past and say that Ron Rivera is a better HC than Matt Rhule, and that sucks to say. What a disaster.

Still, I want to see us start there and I'd be very happy with either of these guys. Honestly, I'd love to see Leftwich here. I think his familiarity with the NFCSouth is a big help, particularly his knowledge of those pesky Buccaneers.

 

Eric Bieniemy, I second that pick, he was one of two I wanted last time.

Who I would want:

Hackett - Has done a great job in GB and has a ton of links to guys around the league. Could put together a good staff. Apparently a quirky guy but well liked by all. 

Daboll - Bad first few years as an OC, however looking at the talent he had available, it is no surprise. Took a job down in college for a bit then came back to the NFL Swinging. Bigly involved with the development of Josh Allen and also has a ton of links to a potentially good staff.

Eberflus - Only defensive coach I'd be ok with simply because he could bring in Pederson as an OC potentially. Colts D is the truth, it'd be nice to push our team's D over the edge. 

McDaniels - Say what you want about the guy, dude can put together an offense even without Tom Brady. What he has managed to do with Mac Jones as well as the list of JAGs on offense for the better part of a decade is commendable. Understands a good O-line is important. I believe the first round as a HC humbled him greatly. My biggest issue with him is that he is a Belichick disciple and we all know those rarely work out.

No to:

Bienemy - Stay away from Reid OCs. Just stay away. Very well could have helped bring the world Patrick Mahomes however Reid calls the plays, always has always will. Also some alleged skeletons in his closet from his past job in Colorado. I believe that will be a media shitstorm if he is hired. 

Pederson - Take him as an OC any day, but not as a HC. Eagles fell apart at the end and there has never been a HC that has won a super bowl with more than one team. Why believe he could do it?

Leftwich - Minimal experience as a coach so his prospects of putting a legit staff together are limited. I don't trust his ability as an OC since the GOAT is carrying their team right now. At least McDaniels has proven he can put together a solid offense without Brady. Leftwich has not been able to do that.

I wanna let go of Rhule or hope he goes back to college. But we gotta also keep in my mind that some of these coaches have quite a few reasons to look at our current situation and give it a hard pass. 
 

I guess luckily Tepper’s check book is our best bet to influence a decision but man I would definitely not consider this to be a top option. No QB or Oline…franchise player has been MIA due to injuries of the past 2 years. Just not that great of an option.

No to Bienemy...I never want disciples of Andy.

No to Byron.  I'm not interested in one of Bruce's disciples either...especially when he has Tom making his job MUCH easier.

Pederson scares me, not sure why, but he does.

 

I think I would want Daboll, Eberflus, or Hackett at this point.  I wanted Kevin Stefanski last time.

Reports are Tepper is looking to make Shane Beamer the highest paid HC in the NFL.  Vegas had Gamecocks at a over/under of 3.5 this season.  He won 6.  Tepper has seen enough.

Leftwich smells like the next Adam Gase to me.  Looks brilliant with a HoF QB running the plays, looks very questionable with a lesser talent.

Pederson had one good season as a HC.  One.  How much of that season was Frank Reich?  He had two "ok" seasons and two losing seasons.  Yes, he had success as an OC under king Andy for a couple seasons.  Not sold on Pederson, but he may be the best thing out there.

Bienemy is the same thing as Pederson, another king Andy guy.  Reid is amazing, but he hasn't yet been able to get any of his magic to rub off on one of his coordinators.

Daboll may be good, hard to say.  Prior to being with the Bills, his offenses were "underwhelming".  He's certainly done well with Allen up there.

Pederson is probably my top choice followed by Bienemy. I wouldn’t want Leftwich, a name that’s circulated. How much of them doing well is actually thanks to Leftwich. Same with Moore. I’d prefer someone more experienced after the horror show the past two years have been, but not someone stuck in the past like Rivera and his ineptitude.
