Which is easier to find in FA or the draft, if your team spends the resources:

A. A competent Offensive line

B. A franchise QB

If you never try to draft your next franchise QB, then you probably will never have one.

Competent offensive lineman ain't so easy to find anymore either.

wow even these newer posters are getting it, kinda scary that we have fans who have been around and watched as much football as they have and still miss basic things

F Joe Burrow. I don't want what's essentially a rookie winning it.

There are two acceptable outcomes.

Stafford wins it after toiling for years in the purgatory that is Detroit.

Jimmy G wins it and the 49s keep him thus keeping us from getting him.

Every other outcome sucks.

I wouldn't say I'm a "newer poster". 😃 I've been a member here talking about Jake Delhomme vs. Rodney Peete. 😂 That being said. We need to fix the offensive line AND somehow draft our next franchise QB. There have been several QBs drafted over the years that the "experts" didn't think they would amount to much, but they were wrong. I'm just hoping we have a staff that can spot a future franchise QB and get it done. I'm not sure that we do.

Most everyone loves an underdog

If there's one thing almost all sports fans have in common, it's that they love to support an underdog, and let me tell you, there is no bigger underdog left in the playoffs than the Cincinnati Bengals.

At the beginning of the season, the oddsmakers in Las Vegas gave them nearly a zero percent chance of winning the AFC North -- and is there a number less than zero?

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
