A franchise QB just took a bad OL and a reviled head coach to the super bowl

the argument is over

you don’t pass on an opportunity to take a franchise QB just because you want to stick it to a coach you don’t like, you don’t pass on a potential franchise QB to “play it safe” in the draft

its time for the panthers to draft a QB

And you think there's a Joe Burrow in this draft?🤔

A franchise QB can make a bad OL look decent. But a team will be hindered by a bad QB no matter how good the OL is. We need an OL but we really need a QB that can rise above a bad OL, even if his OL is good. Panthers have neither in Darnold.

I laughed when the Bengals hired Zac Taylor because it looked like another McVay hire. Bengals have a very smart coaching staff and beat the Chiefs the way you are supposed to.

Way to go Bengals and Burrow and Chase. Go get a Super Bowl.

Don't insult Zac Taylor like that by comparing him to Drhule.

Tom Brady wouldn't be able to drag Rhule to the divisional round. He's that bad. He has been outcoached in 95% of his games.

Chiefs fans will be wailing about that illegal formation for years to come.

I think its good he didn't house it on that play from like 60 out. I could see them being pissed off there. But Bengals were already in FG position. Don't think it mattered much.

    • Honestly at this point it's getting disrespectful. Mills played for a small Division 3 school went undrafted and it took him years to get anyone to believe in him in the NFL. Bryce Young had some of the best coaching available since high school and played for a modern college football dynasty and one of the best college coaches ever on top of getting every excuse imaginable afforded to him even when he refused to participate at the combine and some of his peers in the same draft had their character attacked on a daily basis. Through all that he still went #1. Stop the disrespect.
    • It’s just a simple lesson that sometimes players take a minute to develop. It’s not always the case but it just feeds into the wait and see approach. Also one poster said Mills flashed instantly when that was clearly not the case.
    • What does a linebacker have to do with a QB other than trying to draw parallels for feels? Folks spent weeks comparing this kid to hall of famers before the draft but somehow it still just isn't clicking. How about just let him prove anything at this level and go from there.
