This is a great summary, kudos.

Like other egotistical dipshits in his field of finance, he really thought he could stroll into the NFL and disrupt decades of networks, hierarchy and precedent and outsmart the rest of the league.  And of course it went down as a massive failure because running the rent-seeking business model of Appaloser Management doesn't actually prepare you for any real skills building something

This place has become unbearable. Many of you have gone WAY overboard with your criticism of Tepper. This looks like it is a definite swing and miss but at least we have an owner now who is willing to play ball. I don't think he is going to stop until he gets us a legit QB but it could be a little painful along the way.

I also cannot take anyone serious who thinks the answer is to draft a QB at # 6 that in a normal year, would not even be a first round draft pick.

Its mostly whiney bitching hoping to get rid of Rhule.  They  are the self righteous, true "fans" who want to "win" by losing a lot next year, to get rid of a coach who underperformed by two games last year with the #1 player on offense injured all season and one of the best players on D out with a broken foot.

There's a lot of you, who owe Tepper an apology afterwards.

Rejoice because without him, you wouldn't have a franchise quarterback.

He never budge, that is all.

Devil in the details, remember, not only is Watson coming to Carolina but it was a good deal.

I bet 85% of this board would have made the same deal, the other 15% didn't want Watson anyway.

I don't get it. If he goes to NO, and they give up their best players and draft picks, it doesn't make sense. Ditto for ATL.  But if we do it, it's a good thing?

We had a roster where we had a lot of young players on cheap contracts.. We have more cap space without doing financial Gymnastics and losing much to get him... Our roster configuration right now isn't based on older big contract players  making it thru a season with no depth behind them...

He choose a get rich quick situation hoping that roster can battle Tampa..

They have been quietly shopping him already. The reasons i have discovred from reading about it on the raider reddit and their fansided is the following":

1. Last year of his contract
2. Due a big extension
3. Wasnt a Macdaniels drafted QB

I'd be happy with Carr actually.

I appreciate you being positive. But without stating how you know this, you may get banned again.

I just hope Tepper does not green light going after another mediocre to bad QB once Watson nails the coffin shut. My hunch is Rhule will swing again for one to try and save his job. Teddy disaster, Darnold even worse disaster, round 3....heaven help us.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
