Should have been the plan in year 1 for the guy who got a 7 year contract.  We were willing to be patient, but they weren't.

Why I did not want Watson.

1, When Watson got his contract at Houston I remember seeing his press conference where he was crying saying how much it meant to him and how much their faith in him meant.  Did not take long before he was refusing to play for the team. You want to trust this guy?

2. My god we would have to give up so much.  Way to much for Watson and for this team at this time.

3. The lawsuits/character/poor judgement and who knows what is down the road with the NFL.

4. Fix the Oline fix the defense.  Did I mention the Oline?

 

Now kind of fun that Tepper has been so public for so long wanting Watson and he got rejected.  Can only hope that this gets his attention.

They did it not in a great way, but it was a new staff, during Covid, with an injured QB who they couldn't even meet with in person due to Covid...A lot different than Baker or Matt finding out on Twitter that they're on the trade block out of nowhere
