I don't want to start a new thread or derail this one, but Eric Fisher should be looked at also. Fisher came back last year only 8 months after knee surgery and you would think he would be better next year.

It was actually a surgery on his achilles and he came back super early, the knee injury occurred in December and he was also dealing with a toe and pectoral injury.

With all of that in mind, a prove it deal for Fisher would be interesting.

Also keep in mind...I wouldn't mind this....make people think we want Willis at 6...make people over bid to trade for 6th....bam....pick up multiple extra picks and move back a little further in draft....

If we really want Willis, we wouldn't trade 6. Teams would be looking to get to 5 if they believe that.

A 1-year deal would allow us to trade back for someone like Tyler Smith from Tulsa who might have the highest LT ceiling this year, but he needs a year or two of coaching. Play Tyler at LG for a year then move him to LT. I prefer one of the top LTs, but if we can trade back for Smith + a QB, it is an enticing idea.

They’re really determined to be able to take a QB at 6, in the worst QB draft in a decade, aren’t they?

I don't think a 36-year old LT impacts their draft plans. It will be a 2 year/$25M type deal if they sign him. He'd give them some stability at LT, give them an opportunity to cross-train BC without throwing him to the wolves, and leaves their options open at #6. Neal or Ekwonu could play LG for a year or two if they take either of them.

Think they're setting themselves up for BPA here. At 36 Brown clearly isn't the long term answer but if one of the top 3 OT fall you take them, kick them inside st LG for a year or 2 and run over every single team in the league.

If the top 3 are all gone you've got your pick of a QB or either of the two DEs and still have a capable LT on opening day without having to rely on the unknown of BC.

Id prefer Amrstead but wouldn't hate this signing if the money is right.

    • We have taken two TEs in three seasons I think, and Sanders may not pan out or it may have been a sophomore slump, but we took a guy last year that was coming on.  I am not in favor of TE in round one and really don’t consider it a high priority in any round.
    • Trevon Moehrig, Turk Wharton, Bobby Brown, Jaelen Phillips, Devin Lloyd, Nic Scourton Giving him 6 starters in 2 offseasons that cost boat loads of money or a 2nd round pick... Not exactly handing the man scraps. The point of the draft is to make the team better. You want to make this about Bryce. It isn't. It's about improving the team. And if anyone can look at our offense and go "we're good", they are lying to themselves. You give quarterbacks weapons. We SCREAMED for YEARS to give Cam some help. But now because we are trying to do it for Bryce, you all are saying we are coddling him because of his "deficiencies". It's a double-standard because you don't like the guy, clearly. But even if he does fail, guess what? The next guy has help too. Win-win.
    • we have 2 solid/above average (however you want to phrase that) wr's, which is more than half the league at least.  We dont need to be blowing more first round capital just to placate Bryce and his limitations.   We have one absolute stud (probably top 10 wr) in tmac and we have a high floor guy with insane potential if he can stay healthy.  Yeah man we are in better shape than the bulk of the teams in the league.  If you need to add some speed or whatever, sure draft in the mid rounds or wait until tc cuts.  Its monumentally stupid to spend 3 straight firsts on a wr if thats the route they go.  ITs just more and more excuses for Bryce, thats where we are at now.    "How can bryce succeed without a big possession type wr (drafts 2 for him), how is bryce supposed to exceed without a speed guy......."   Its fuging never ending.  Give EE some goddamn help on defense for once
