He got outplayed by Big Dick Van Dyke. That should concern you - at #6 I want an absolute superstar, regardless of position.

The odds of getting a superstar in any draft is usually pretty low. Solid starter, multiple pro bowl/all-pro potential... yes, superstar... ehh not as likely.

10 yard fast ball against no rush or coverage.  Not very impressed.

Lol, then why pay attention to the pro day at all? This is supposed to show his baseline physical ability for the position. The "control" test, so to speak. The other stuff is already on film.

I think the volume of guys that we have there right now indicates probably more than just due diligence.

I'd expect that same group to attend all the others though.

(not sure what it would say if they didn't)

I think there is genuine interest there, but I'm not going to buy yet that we are all in for him...although you are correct, they took the whole FO and coaching staff up there outside of Snow it seems.

How many franchise qbs are there in the NFL currently? Talking about a QB so good that you don't trade them no matter the deal.

Mahomes

Allen

Brady

Rodgers

That's about it.

Got a handful that have potential to get there.

Then you got the next set of qb's that are good enough to win with if surrounded by pieces.

Tampa would take 3 #1 picks for Brady yesterday. You sure you didn't mean Burrow? What about Herbert? And Murray is right on the line too.

Keep that same energy tomorrow when Willis throws.

Willis has an arm, but does he have Darnold field vision, meaning the lack thereof?  That is his knock on tape..limited progressions and avoids routes to the interior of the field.

    • he used to have nothing good to say about them. put him on the payroll...problem solved.
    • I am also intrigued by Mohammad. Could be another story. Seems like he has the talent but seems to have had some issues with coaching schemes/changes,  some attitude and work ethic issues? Hopefully his being home can get him focused. Here is what I read ( all second hand to me ) :    1- He has all the skills but was nonexistent under two different coaching staffs. He butted heads and was benched under Jimbo (for wearing sleeves under his uniform after the coaching staff told him not to 🙄). Then under the new staff, he rarely saw the field – he had just 55 yards last season. When he saw the field, he either made the most impressive play of the game or would get an unsportsmanlike penalty. Just a bizarre case because he has the talent.     2 -Aggie here to provide some insight. As the other poster mentioned, Moose had a weird time at A&M and it didn't help that Jimbo's offense was painful and wide receivers never seemed to excel. His third year was promising but he was also competing with Evan Stewart, Noah Thomas, and Chase Lane who I'm pretty sure were all 5*s. Also Ainais Smith and Devon achane ran majority of the offense. That said, going into his last year with Jimbo, a couple guys like Lane and Achane left, and most Ags thought this would be the year Moose really steps up. Unfortunately as the other poster mentions, he disappeared into misconduct and coaching change.
    • I'm more impressed with the UDFA that the guys they have drafted in the first the last 2 years. A whole lot of prove it is still needed before any improvement should be talked about seriously.
