He's a great player but he's pretty significantly undersized. And he's a center. There are plenty of drafts that zero centers go on the 1st. Hell, it might honestly be the norm.

Those arms are SHORT. Average is 32.7" Only 3 centers in the @Mockdraftable database have measured shorter than 31⅛" at the combine.

He's just small.. that's his whole deal. Great talent.. if I could get in thr back of the first or second awsome.

Ryan Kalil was projected to go early in round 1, and ended up falling into the second where we grabbed him.  It always seems like starting centers can be found in round 2-4 without an issue

Smallish size with unusually short arms, and he plays center. Great talent, but those things could hurt his draft stock.

I'm sure Zion will go before him as just a guard. I haven't watched much tape but is he really that much better than Lindstrom going in the 4th-5th in mocks? For us we have Bozeman and Elflein so all we really need to do is get some kind draft help on the left side at some point. Even if we start our current roster I think we're already better than 2020/21. Depth isn't pretty rn and I'm hoping they can get to a point where they can just dump Cam Erving, seems like a morale deflater
