Overall Feeling About This Years Draft

I’m very optimistic.

How can you do wrong getting the best offensive linemen in the draft and an possible franchise QB without having to give up players or next years 1st/2nd round pick. It was a grand slam with what we were facing and how it could have went.

I think every draft looks good on paper. I have no opinion yet except I’m glad they FINALLY spent a first round pick on a LT.

I didn't come in expecting that we'd be able to do much, but considering what we've done, I'm pleased. To be honest, we could've called it a day last night and I'd have been smiling. I didn't think we'd get Ickey, and I thought we'd have to trade someone (mainly CMC) to put us in position to get Corral on day 2. I wanted Fitt and company to do the right thing and have some discipline even though it was frustrating--tough--to be sitting on our hands and waiting. As far as today, I said it last night, it's all about upside. That includes not only the draftees, but the UDFAs. 

Fitterer is a draft wizard. He knows what he's doing. Accept it and embrace it.

I loved this draft.  If you told me before the draft that we would get Ikem and Corral without giving away a player or sacrificing next years 1st or 2nd, I would have not believed you.  Ikem alone is worth this draft.

This is where I'm at.  There's always that 1 pick (at the least).  Didn't happen this year.

I also like the setup in a make-or-break year for Rhule.  The QB was a 3rd rounder, so taking one high next year won't be some huge issue with moving on/keeping as a backup if we eye Stroud/Young/Levis/McCall...whoeever

The line has finally been addressed, and early.  And this is not an Otah situation.  

Our 4th rounder is a pretty big boom-bust, the rest strong developmental types.

Unsure if Darnold or another vet will take the field first but we'll be seeing Corral this year and hey, maybe we found ourselves a mid-round steal.  Never know.

College scouting is his thing.

I've said before that between his experience with college scouting and Dan Morgan's background and pro personnel, we could be set up pretty good.
