Dexter Manley also comes to mind, but he is not in the hall of fame. He was as destructive of a Defensive End as I have ever seen in late 80’s. He would take bumps between series, and take Sudafed to beat the drug test.

I mean, winning a single game with The Golden Calf of Bristol as your QB IMO is a pretty big accomplishment. 

I would give him high praise if The Golden Calf of Bristol was forced on him.   The fact he wanted The Golden Calf of Bristol is the headscratcher.

Corral doesn’t have the arm strength Rodgers had coming out but that quick release is fuging sweet. I posted before the draft that I liked him a lot so I’m hoping he works out. He’s got a fire about him. Something to be excited about. Hope it works out even though the odds are stacked against him.

I was on the tank for Trevor train. I disliked both QB signings/trades. Teddy was never going to be a stud and Sam should have gotten grabbed off of the cut pile instead of trading multiple picks for him and agreeing to the fifth year was stupid. If he did great, super, he’s the answer and use the franchise tag and happily pay the extra $6M. Don’t gamble $18M with a high probability you lose it all. Besides everyone and their mother new NY was taking Wilson so get Sam after the draft for a reduced amount. SF already made the trade for Lance so we were competing against ourselves.

Any way, releasing vets who haven’t done anything since we cut them was a good call. Teddy and Sam were terrible calls and made no sense since we weren’t going to be competitive in 2020 or 2021.

I think I was the one that initially brought it up.   It was largely just geared towards people claiming that Matt Rhule had such a hard job because he lost so many great veteran leaders and former superstars.  Was largely just pointing out he had them if we wanted them.  He made the choice to cut them.  Luke was the only leader that walked away.  The rest were under contract. 

I didn't have any issue with any of them being gone.  I did think letting Cam play out his last season would have made sense.  But you would have to draft a kid.   But after that was done I thought Teddy made sense as a bridge to a draft pick depsite not loving Teddy.
