I honestly can't imagine still thinking Darnold might be the answer as an NFL starting QB. That's a complete disconnect from reality.

Yeah, year 4 and 5 Smith looked much better than 4/5 Sam.  Soooo if we hold on the Sam for a long time and ignore every other QB prospect we might get a lesser version of Alex Smith without Andy Reid coaching/developing him, maybe.  Sounds like a solid plan for the franchise right?

Sam Darnold, by all accounts, is a nice dude and a professional. He's just not qualified to be a starting NFL quarterback.

Pretty sure in the last few years there hasn't been a trade between the last week of OTA's and first couple days of training camp. Wouldn't be surprised if Rhule is texting Fitt every 30 minutes asking him to call it in

Alex Smith also didn’t throw many interceptions. Sam is an interception machine.

I'm sorry.  He has shown year in and year out, he is not.  Teddy had a similar line and looked 10x better.   Sam was a mistake, we gave him the benefit of the doubt and he stunk up the place.  Will Sam look better than last year with this new line?  Probably.  Will he still suck ass?  Certainly.
